Information needed for your selling on Amazon account
 

Received an email...

We are conducting a review of your account. Within 14 days, please upload the information requested to our secure document upload page.

When I clicked link it was simply to confirm I was not a politically exposed person.
Had this before years ago and it would appear fairly standard.

The words 'conducting a review of your account' are a little concerning. Is this just standard wording or is a human actually reviewing the account?

No upload required in the first instance. Just a link to confirm I was not a politically exposed person. Thought that was it but today got an 'action required' email from KYC saying they need an address verification document.

Apparently the one (electricity) they accepted months ago was a screenshot (it was actually a download). I suppose I could print it out and take a photo. I have 60 days.

This was originally a sole trader seller account but I changed it to a limited company account.
I guess this put it back under the 15k disbursement limit...though I got to keep all my feedback and sales history.

The hell.... politically involved person?? Must be a UK thing and I don't sell in UK.

Yeah, that is standard for UK accounts. Think you also get it when opening business bank account?

I personally have never seen this nor have I heard people in my circle getting this. We don't sell in UK though.

politically exposed person is usually asked for if the name is similar to someone on the list , in my case there is a person whose name is almost identical to mine with a difference of just a few letters so I was asked several times if I knew the person and was told the exact name of the person and the name of their position with the state

I have had this on accounts for the last 15 years. Nothing unusual.

Quite normal I had this on many accounts, after confirmation it goes into verification but this types of verification quite difficult to pass they may as you certified bank letter
