Hello,
I have a seller account on Amazon EU that changed company name to another company, with different registered office address and with a new owner. All documents have been accepted so far, verification was still in progress but I could receive orders and withdraw regularly.

While working on some settings, I changed the phone number associated to the two-factor verification (previous number was from the ex-owner, which is working for us now) and bought a new sim card for this purpose. I didn't realize the new phone number was only temporary and it expired after three days. No backup methods were set, so now we cannot login on the account.

I have already sent more than three requests of account recovery to disable this number from their recovery page at https://www.amazon.it/a/recover/upload and https://www.amazon.co.uk/a/recover/upload . This page only require to upload the ID document of the account owner. After some hours I get an email from an Account specialist saying the account is currently under review and they'll be reaching out in 24/48 hours, then nothing. I'm waiting for over two weeks now

Has someone had this problem and how did you solve it? The recovery page ask for an ID document, is it possible they require the previous owner ID document since the account its still pending verification?
Please if you know any way to escalate this I would greatly appreciate it

I have similar problem,I am in USA,my phone number for AMZN 2 factor verification is in limbo.
It was my landline phone,when the phone co has a long outage,I bought a cell phone transferred that phone number to my new provider AT & T,then I dont like the AT &T plan,so I cancelled my account,so now I am requesting that phone number be ported back t o my landline company.and I dont know how long it is going to take>
In the mean time,
Without the phone number,I cannot receive 2 factor veifiation number for my AMZN seller acount so I like you submit id documents ,waited a few days,then AMZN set it has been activated.
Unfortunately,they activated another account of mine,he buying account and not the selling account ,
but what I want to tell you is they do review your ID document,just wait a few days

I have had the issue with sims expiring and not being able to receive the 2 factor pin but I have always been able to upload a copy of the ID and get them to rest it. Usually within a few hours.
I switched to adding an extension in chrome called Authenticator, its working well and means I no longer need to worry about receiving texts to sims.
Only issue would be if I had the laptop die on me and to reinstall chrome.

We use USB 4g dongles for internet connection and always used to use the disposable sims from EE that last 12 months with 120gb of data they can also receive texts but have started to switch to sim contracts so we can keep the same number for years to come.

Thank you all for the replies, we finally got back in our account. I believe the problem was due to the fact we were still under verification, so seller support could not reset the OTP phone number. It helped a lot to write directly to the Seller verification team. I have already put two authenticators and one good phone number to avoid this, never again

For my case I wrote to seller-verification-enquiry@amazon.co.uk, check if they have the same email like seller-verification-enquiry@amazon.com (for Amazon US)

it's good you regained access.
I have never seen this happened before, mine took less than 2 days to reset every thing and update the 2FA

is account currently restricted from selling? if so, you might be out of luck

I am in US,I called them and a real person actually responded and solved my problem,I dont think he is in the States.
