Getting emails on personal email for Amazon account under a different email
 

I work on an Amazon account that is not in my name, and has a unique email assigned to it. I have never logged into my personal customer amazon account on this computer, and never logged into the Amazon account on any other device.

However, I am getting emails from brands about MAP policies, and not to sell their products. I have even gotten messages on my facebook account mentioning the store name. Again - my name is not attached to this account.

How is this happening? What actions can I take to prevent it?

Does anyone have an idea on this? I have no idea where the link is, and I'd like to get this figured out.

I am very sure that in these cases you probably somehow linked all your accounts with Facebook, these are things that do not happen miraculously, when this happens, it is due to human error

I'm with Yobar.

It has to be done on the computer.

For future reference, set up a separate user acct for your AZ work, and only do AZ work on that user.

Do your personal stuff on a separate user away from your AZ work.
Same if you have other platforms. Keep them separate from the others.

could it be that your AMZN account shares the same ISP as your regular email account,even tho they belong to 2 different persons

I don't believe that to be the reason, because I'm getting emails from brands the store is selling. Not Amazon. I don't see a way the brand would have access to my ISP used to access Amazon. I'm still very confused on where the linkage could be.

You mention that this is NOT your acct, just one you work on.

Who else logs into this AZ acct, and on what computer.

Cookies might taste great but they leave crumps to follow :d:typing:

Youd be surprised how amazon can link people and their friends to the account.
They are insane.

I've had this happen to me. It's usually those companies that Brand's hire to try to scare off Sellers. They prolly link you via LLC business registration info and other stuff that these investigative firms dig and find a link and then send out emails to anyone who could be related to the amazon account.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Amazon isn't going to be that thorough
