Does Amazon do facial comparison?
 

I know Amazon doing video verification, but I am wondering if amazon do facial comparison?

Yes, when doing a video verification they will compare your face with the ID you have previously sent or instead with the previous photos they have in their records.

If we use the same photo for two IDs (e.g., driving licenses) and register two Amazon accounts, do you think Amazon will identify that this photo has been used before?

Amazon cannot do it, they cannot store identity documents after verification. Let me explain: in the United States you cannot keep those types of client documents.
What you should do is not use the same names or document numbers.

I don't know if this is true or not (considering that banks take a photocopy of your ID when you open an account as standard procedure), but if they wanted to they can certainly store your picture from your video verification.

certainly feels like it'd be easy to store that info and matchup picture if needed

Now that I think about it, I'm almost certain there is nothing saying a company can't keep your ID document copies. Even for something mundane like opening a mailbox at a UPS store they keep a copy of the IDs that you submit to them. I would assume Amazon keeps everything that you submit to them.

No one knows, its all speculation. The only way to know for is through trial and error. And I dont believe the person saying they cant keep records of ID.

So perhaps a "creative" DL with the same photo but different in everything else wouldn't work?

What are your conclusions based on? From my experience, most probably they don't verify faces.

They definitely do, I've been there. Video call with ID visible in it which I'd already submitted during the initial verification process.

Also, if your account is ever suspended this process is mandatory to get any funds released.

Yes, I've had to hold a passport to a camera during an interview. The interviewer asked me to flip through the pages as well.

They made me take a picture of the front and back including barcodes. Not sure what the barcodes do on my government ID.

After, they made me take a recording of my face while I turn left and right.

They keep this information for up to 2 years. Some employees and third parties can use it.
