Everything will depend exactly on the content of the email that Amazon sent.
If you can tell me what Amazon wrote, maybe we can help you friend.

Are you selling in the USA? If you are then you need to complete the tax interview

Re: Amazon US ask for tax info even I have not registered in US platform

I had limited access for months on my US Amazon account (never used it) pending tax info and bank deposit details.
Nothing happened but these requests were marked in red if I ever clicked on the US site.

Recently asked to reverify identify from the US site and this impacted the UK site too. Both are deactivated pending reverification. Lots of UK sellers have had the same even though they never used the Amazon.com account.

I wondered whether it was because I'd never resolved the issues requested by the US side?

UK sellers have said that during the verification interview they had been asked about their US accounts even though they never used or wanted them.
It seems Amazon is so big and so automated that the humans don't really know what is going on half the time.

I shop on AMZN USA,I can see UK listings and If I like,I can buy from UK sellers.
May be this is the reason why??
The argument I have heard is that your goods landed on US cyber soil, you are selling in USA?

I sent email to amazon UK asking if I can sell in UK only without providing my tax info to US.
The answer is yes, I can sell in UK and EU.

I see it as primarily a US company...so they oversee the sites security and brand integrity. This in addition to local marketplaces doing their own checks.

I don't allow shipping to USA so my items should not be seen by US customers.

This is the 3rd thread I see about someone from UK but being asked for docs in USA.

I wonder if this isa glitch or amazon's new way to ban people again.....
