Sellon on AMZN
 

Years ago ,there was an article on how folks find merchandise to sell on AMZN.
As Walmart is closing its superstores,2 parties are ready to buy.
One went to a bank and got a $100,000 draft,sent 2 employees and a UHAUL to pick up dvds,appliances,electronics,cosmetic,household goods,etc etc,as most items are marked down by 33.3-70%.
They have no physical store,only exists on AMZN MARKET PLACE and expect to make 100% gross.
Another part is one guy with his brother in law and mother in law who has a station wagon.
They picked up $30k worth of goods and expect to gross 100 % profit.
of course both parties have to pay AMZN fees.
These days there are more stores closing,TGT,BBY,BIG Lots,WAlgreen,99 CENTS ONLY etc

They do have receipts,and the physical merchandise
Nothing wrong buying from another retailer,it is retail arbitrage which ticks off AMZN and Ebay.
I would think with $100,000 bank draft,they would present this to WMT manager in advance and ask to dump cartloads of goods in a special place with a cashier instead of holding up the regular check out line .
I would send 2 guys with 2 assistants ,each pushing a shopping cart,as they fill out the carts,the assistants will dump all the items in that area and return with the empty cart.
I assume they also have proof they are buying wholesale and so no sales tax?
WMT welcomes customers with bank draft of $100,000

Amazon does not accept store receipts they want invoices. Even legit invoices they often decline :ranger:

200k gross from 100K of stock on Amazon...not as rewarding as you might think.

What net profit do you think they'll make after Amazon fees, shipping, the now obligatory promotions, overheads, taxation etc.

200k is just an estimate,it is a company and they have payroll and office rent.and only exists in cyberspace
back then if you have a shop,FVF is lower,it must be worth their while to do so.
With a shop,you can list like 48,000 items and shop fee could be $25 and FVf is much much lower than today as it is still considered a book site looking to expand
How many knows BBY at one time also sell on AMZN until it realises it benefits AMZN so it starts promoting its own website,I bought a Toshiba TV set from their site.
ER Hamilton,a discount book catalogue which sells books at 50 % discount also sell on AMZN until it realises it benefits AMZN more than Hamilton,Hamilton does not accept credit card and shipping is $3.95 for as many books as you ordered.
Selling on AMZN,it is forced to accept credit card .
