I have a product that I know the Origin is NOT from the UK. This Amazon seller is listing my product that I have on eBay, and selling it on Amazon (and using me as the fulfiller, dropshipper). Everything about the item specifics are not correct on their Amazon listing, from country of origin, the brand, the manufacture. Its all made up by them. They are not having the product fulfilled by Amazon. Is that why they are getting away with it? Are standards more strict for sellers that opt-in for Amazon fulfilment?

Amazon fulfillment is more strict - that could be why they are getting away with it by using you as the dropshipper.
However, that being said, the seller may be getting returns to him/her that you don't see

Unless I was selling the product on Amazon and believed it was taking sales away from me I wouldn't let it bother me too much.
If it really bothers you then there are ways to put an end to it, I'm sure you don't need them spelling out to you. | |

''Yes, Amazon inspects products that are shipped through the FBA program to ensure they meet Amazon's quality standards''
Here are some things that Amazon inspectors look for
''Compliance with quality standards
Inspectors check that products comply with the quality standards specified in the FBA requirements''
''Proper labeling and markings
Inspectors check that products have the correct labeling and markings, including FNSKU labels, suffocation warnings, and carton labels''
''Quality labeling and packaging
Inspectors check that products meet Amazon's standards for labeling and packaging''
are you saying that products not sent to the warehouse, get the same inspections done, as those sent to the warehouse for fulfilment

All our FBA products have proper documentation if needed.
My question to you: Does it bother you that someone is dropshipping your products on Amazon? Maybe we already do business together.

I send my wares in sealed boxes, they do not open them.

I'm just starting to migrate over to Amazon, and the rules for labelling are strict compared to eBay, I have to go by the book, yet this seller is completely circumnavigating the rules. Like rsot pointed out, maybe because they are not apart of fulfilment. And I intended to send my stock to Amazon

They are stupid to do so,when buyer receives the item from you and find out it is different,he will complain and return the item.
---------
Some disadvantges of fullfillment by AMZN,how to dispose of remaining inventory?
Also,if they are counterfeit, knockoff, either AMZN or law enforcement agency could move in and confiscate/destroy your merchandise

I agree, nothing ever good comes out of dropshiping, its a recipe for headaches and failure. At first it might work out, but in the long run its not a viable business.

It is not dropshipping,it is retail arbitrage which is buying from another RETAILER after receiving money from your customer.
Dropshipping is fine from a wholesaler, some products cannot be stocked at retail stores easily, like a car,a tractor,a house /

there are many sellers doing it on amazon , this has the advantage that they can circumvent gating and they can make a new product page if item suddenly becomes removed / banned / gated
