Can someone confirm if a debit card with a mismatched name and address still works?
 

I've been doing Amazon for years, but recently, I haven't been able to add my debit card as a payment method (it's mismatched in name and address). Amazon charges me £1 each time, but a message appears a few seconds later indicating that my card failed verification. It used to work before. Can anyone confirm if this method still works

No, nothing match.
I could use mt debit card before, seems not working any more, at least not working currently.

So even if you add real name and address of card (mismatching your stealth name/address) it won't verify?

Previously they didn't care if the card didn't match the seller, as long as they could charge something.
So, for example, you could use a relatives card on your account.

My two amazon account down recently, not sure if it's because of mismatched name&address debit card.

Is this where VCC comes in? Can be verified with stealth name and address?

What was the reason for the deactivation?

Possibly linked and taken down? What category of sales? Risky items?

if name and address on your card does not match the name and address of your stealth account,it could be you are using a card which is not yours.
And chargeback could come from the card owner

Nothing fresh, ask for invoice first, sent them invoice then failed verification.
Before asking for invoice, account deactivated already.

VCC maybe the only way in the future if mismatched debit card doesn't work any more.
Somebody mentioned VCC won't last long (about 6 months), not sure if it's true

But as far as AMZN is concerned ,they do not match.
You need to get a card in stealth name.

In the USA, only the ZIP CODE and CITY are verified for Address match.

Street name/number, cardholder name, etc, are NOT.

For other countries (such as the UK) I would trust the advice of senior members of the UK, such as Freakzilla. I cannot comment because I don't own any UK debit or credit cards.

VCC guys I have used give me a zip code and city to use, I can pick the address.
