legitimate docs do not matter much to amazon , with bogus docs they just suspend based on docs , with legit docs they have a bunch of other reasons. nowadays it is a corporate culture not only on amazon but also other marketplaces like ebay and etsy - they suspend new sellers for unknown reasons in bulk

I would rather think that it is circumvention of amazon policies that led to this as they started listing in categories for which they never had permission

for the future I can recommend anyone using such a service to only buy accounts registered as corporation / ltd company so that owner change of amazon account could be avoided while change of director / shareholder / president is nothing uncommon and the company is considered here the actual owner of everything

it may even be possible to make an agreement with the previous owner that they stay as company officer with limited rights for some time

Can Amazon see a list of shareholders/partners? If so, could they tie you to a related account somehow or is that a long shot?

I am not sure about the US , in the UK and EU they see everything. In the US they would at least ask to provide supporting docs I assume

Yes, don't give up on this account, consult with an appeal service in the forum and also talk to that company.

Frankly the majority of these so called companies are not trustworthy, heck I even found out they used to come to this forum years ago to learn.

The account is toast, I's be amazed if you managed to get it re-instated.

No third party appeal service will be of any use, your only chance of reducing your disappointment is to fight for a refund. That said, that isn't going to happen either. Five minutes of looking a this outfit (ecomstores.com if I'm correct) shows their just a cleverly peddled group of bull$hitters.

The account was mostly probably hacked, then transferred over to you. Original owner probably got in touch with amazon. Did it come with the original email address registered to it?

I never even considered hacking to be an avenue. While this could be the case, I believe amazon reserves the right to not allow account transfers from one owner to another.

As to why they keep responding with the same **** again and again - That is amazons M.O.

Their reps are absolutely useless, and just repeat canned responses that the bots give you.

You can post in the seller central forums and see if you can get a mod to look into it. That can be a better way to get in touch with someone useful on the Amazon side.
