How are you guys listing new products? (UPC Issues)
 

Its been about a yer since I've sold on Amazon, and I just got back and running, However any time I try to add a product I get the error

"8572: You are using UPCs, EANs, ISBNs, ASINs, or JAN codes that do not match the products you are trying to list. If you believe you have reached this message in error, contact Seller Support with the following information:"

How are you guys getting around this these are fresh UPCs

But they are correct for the products right?

Just wanna make sure they are.

As a reminder, Amazon is full of glitches so I hope it's just that for now.

There for products that i am literally making up on the spot I have never had this issue in the past. I've always been able to purchase UPC codes and make new products no issue.

have you called them about this?

I don't make up stuff on the spot and get the appropriate UPC and docs, so I don't encounter this issue.

The only time I did is when their system glitched out which happens often

Are you creating new products? Are you applying for GTIN exemption?
If using UPC, are you buying from a legitimate source? This could be an issue if you are buying from a cheap reseller, they may be selling used UPC codes.

Amazon are clamping down on barcodes/UPCs to prevent third party re-sellers.


AFAIK they now verify them as being legitimate and active and this is (possibly) the only source for new codes: https://www.gs1us.org/upcs-barcodes-...-a-upc-barcode.


Of course this doesn't apply to product which already have a UPC and you can apply to Amazon for exemption.

You can use generic if you're having issues. Some items I have you simply haven't find the upc for them, listed an generic and never had any problems..
