(US) listing taken down then back up?
 

Not that I'm complaining lol but Amazon took down a listing for a customer complaint(return reason). I wasn't looking forward to gathering my invoices so I was waiting for a rainy day then all of a sudden Amazon sent an email saying after they reviewed my account I can sell the item again?! Has anyone seen this? The listing should of never been taken down in the first place. Sold 300 in the past year and probably over 1000 of the same brand. It's just a stupid customer or a competitor saying "not real!".

I have not seen this but it could be that they have reasons to do this , for example if someone was abusing the system trying to remove competitors with a specific brand so that they decided to reinstate all items removed this way

the only real problem you have here is that the record of item removal will stay on file so that more removals in the future would become a problem

Congratulations.
I have never seen this, but have had something similar happen. There was an item that was removed from my listings for a complaint. Weeks, Months? later it showed up on my inventory again.
Never really knew why.

Ive had that happen, you mean 404 page? It's another Amazon bot that re actives it only for Amazon to realize the bots are working against each other then it goes down again. It useally happens in groups. Amazon is really stupid. I have about 700 asins. I see some really stupid stuff.

It is really scary that they want the IRS to be mostly ran by AI. If you deal with Amazon alot you know how scary AI is(as it in sucks).

I don't agree it stays on file. It was completely removed from my health as if I appealed it.

health is not an indicator for what is on file because in case of a later restriction / suspension they would be looking at previous history

Bots do this and it is one way to find out if a live person is behind it and if he/she cares,he/she will contact the sales venue.
There are plenty of zombies sellers who either have past away or give up selling.
Also many sellers sell on multiple venues,the items could have been sold on one venue but they never remove the listing on other venues.

If this was a test report request, giving you the dog page, it is cleared up if someone else submits photos and paperwork and successfully gets approval.

Have done this as an experiment with the same popular listing on 2 accounts. As soon as one clears the hurdle, everyone gets approval.
