Sales tax exemption amazon buyer acc

Uploading my sales tax exemption in the wizard on Amazon and it gives a generic error and to contact Amazon.

I keep getting told I "Our records show that another account associated with your information was removed for not meeting the Terms & Conditions of the program.".

I have called the sales tax exemption dept everyday for 2 weeks and it appears I am going in circles with all the braindead broken english agents. Most dont understand the issue / are apathetic, the ones that do make a ticket which eventually gets closed and I get a generic email from Amazon usually repeating the "Our records show that another account associated with your information was removed for not meeting the Terms & Conditions of the program." or requests I contact them, or other vague information.

Any idea how I can a resolution here? Should I start calling the sales tax exemption dept 2-3 times a day instead of once a day? Is there any other routes I can take? This is very frustrating and wasting a lot of time.

I did, but dont get any traction.

What's hilarious and infuriating is a few of these amazon CSR monkeys have said with a straight face to go to a tax advisor. As if I am to walk to a tax office and tell them "Amazon wont accept my state tax exemption ID for for not meeting Amazons Terms & Conditions of the program, can you fix it?" :mad2:

Re: Sales tax exemption amazon buyer acc

day 16 of speaking to amazon tax team (pic related of amazon customer service center agent) buyer account is still blocked from sales tax exemption. All agents are retarded / broken english and have told me everything under the sun but have gotten no where but wasted time.

Was able to miraculously reach a north American agent today who had an IQ higher then the typical overseas Indian / filipino agent was more real with me and confirmed there was likely nothin I could do since they blocked my account.

Has anyone had any similar experience? Considering a steal buyer account but not sure if its even worth it or viable in the end.

Did you ask what is the other account related to you?

Yes, they dont know, but I do, and I gave them that email and had them make the same ticket for both accounts (which are ignored/closed). Having a second buyer account is irrelevant, no issues with having sales tax exemption for 2 buyer accounts.

It has to just be a boilerplate because I got 2 buyer accounts added to the real issue "breaking terms and conditions" what ever the hell that means. There terms literally state they can revoke any sales tax exemption, for no reason at all, so quoting "breaking terms and conditions" is a big "F you" and meaningless

Yeah, unfortunately that “our records show another account…” line usually means they’ve hard-blocked your details for the tax-exempt program and front-line support can’t override it – which is why you keep getting the same boilerplate. At this point I’d assume the exemption on that profile is basically permanent unless you can get a higher-level written review (executive / complaint channel) with a very calm, factual summary and proof you’re compliant. In similar cases, people often end up structuring a fresh, clean setup with different details rather than trying to “fix” the blocked one, because any new account that reuses the same name/ID/tax info is likely to inherit the same flag.

Yeah thats what im thinking.

Ironically ive had some luck with an agent successfully getting their "specialist team" to remove the block on my account but this isnt the case.

Would have to repeat the same steal procedure for a seller account as with the buyer account. Sucks is my Amazon chase card which gets 3-5% cashback ls linked so i'll likly have to report that lost and get a new one and not link it to the old account, sales tax id # and address / name though would be the same, which could cause linkage.
