US Amazon Stealth Account Unpaid Fees
 

Hey Guys,

I am in the UK. I have a stealth US Amazon account I haven't used for around 3 years. I stopped selling as I had to verify the address with a postcard. Obviously as a stealth account I couldn't do that. The charge card on the account is one of mine. Due to returns, claims,etc there is an outstanding balence. I can no longer access the account as I don't have access to the phone number for the account.

To cut a long story they have been trying to charge my charge card for the last few years and it's always declined as there is no money in there. It's generally the same time every month for around £7.50. which is $10 Today they tried to charge just under £100 and it failed again. This time I received an email saying there are outstanding fees, etc, and they will try again, basically by taking smaller amounts. This is the first time I've received an email from them.

Anyone had this? Is it best to put the money in the account for them to take to be the end of it? I know if I do they will have my name, or would you just leave it? Are they likely to pursue it? I know I could be linked through IP address or bank account, but would they really go that far for £100

I couldn't get it to pass the Inform Act, so I had to stop selling. Any advice for the above?

As the account is effectively dead I would just ignore them, they're not going to pursue you over a tiny sum.

@OP, all info is stealth info right? Account is dead and they have no way (that I can see) of identifying you so it's your choice but I would ignore them and just forget it

I really wish I knew more about UK....

I know there's UK guys here who are much more knowledgable than me about UK Amazon

IP and bank account are the only ways. Lot of hassle to get that info for a small amount of money.

Plenty of other UK folks here.... even some USA members know about how UK works.

Maybe ask Phazors? He's here a lot.
