WARNING - Amazon now can keeps fund well beyond 90 days
 

Heads up everyone. Amazon has kept my funds on several of my closed accounts well beyond 90 days.

The funds of one account was not released until FIVE months later. Another account I have was closed in July and funds have still not been released even after they sent me an email saying it would be released at the end of December.

Two mistakes I made which caused this:

1. I bought items with a closed acct. from one of my active acct. to get quick feedback score THEN I refunded myself OVER the item amount i.e. $5 item I refunded myself $40,...HA!

2. I changed all my closed accts. to one bank account after they were closed.

So don't be a bonehead like me:)

How do you get back your funds after you put one bank account to all your closed accts? I have the same issues, now I can't log into my accounts. Please advise. Thank you.

Dont they have the right to keep it for as long as they see fit?

Some CCs allow up to 6 months for chargeback ive been told.
