when your money is safe after disbursement?

I know when paypal shows 'Withdrawal completed', the money can not be reversed anymore if the account is suspended.

But for Amazon, anyone got a clue with the timing frame that the fund's def safe after the disbursement?

it's safe when you see the $$ in your bank account

Usually 48 hours after transfer. Long enough for an ACH transfer to go through, once its complted it cannot be reversed.

However, anytime during the processing or pending time and it can be reversed.

Nomally all ACH transfer complete in 48 hours depending on the time it was transferred.

^^^^^ That's not true. Even if it lands into your bank account it still can be reversed. ACH reversed takes the money out of the bank account. Do a forum search.

yep they can reverse the transaction just like paypal..

I would assume it is safe to consider money in your pocket 48 hours after your transfer the fund. Amazon can reverse pending ACH transfer if it is still in process.

In US, it usually takes 4 business days, excluding Saturday, to see the funds hit your bank account.

Seems nobody can really find out Amazon. I would agree with ganbala, considering 48 housrs out of 4 business days would be pretty safe.

Amazon sits on the deposit for at least 2 days before they actually start the transfer. If you do have a negative balance they will bill your CC on file for the balance due.I'm not sure if they will try and withdraw from your checking too, since I would never leave any money in a account linked to a Amazon account that has a negative balance.

If you don't want to risk having your funds held for 30-90 days and just want a account with a short shelf life, there is a way to avoid the holds.

What I do is just don't ship the first few orders, but do confirm shipment with Amazon. The money makes it into your account after 5 days and then you can apply that money to orders you actually fill. You have about 30 days before you need to refund the first orders. Amazon sends a e-mail to a buyer with the shipping delivery window and tells the buyer it's not necessary to contact the seller until the shipping window has passed. So then if something goes wrong, you are holding Amazons money verses Amazon holding your money. I like those odds better.

If Amazon suspends the account you can just refund the first few orders and the account should zero out. You won't have to wait 90 days for your money that way. With some buyers you might be able to offer to reship the items that didn't arrive and they will be happy if you offer them a discount or something. So if you made it by the review by then, you can fill the order if you want.
