banned from amazon, should i still ship

was banned out of the blue from amazon today after initially passing a 30 day review about a month ago, I have about 3 items to ship that I haven't yet. Should i even ship these or just refund them

jbluntz 06-08-2010 02:48 AM

I wouldn't ship or refund, I'd let amazon eat it.

cherrqell 06-08-2010 10:12 AM

Not ship, or do nothing.......

Thats DUMB! This is why it gets so difficult to deal with Amazon. If people would play by the rules, there wouldn't be so many roadblocks, and hoops to jump through.

You made the commitment to sell. Ship, then wait for your money. The people who bought had nothing to do with the process. They deserve to get their merchandise, even if Amazon is being an A-hole!

At some point, you have to have some business scruples.

Please either ship the items or just refund them.
Buyers have nothing to do with the business between you and Amazon.

jbluntz 06-08-2010 09:13 PM

Then you're just making things easier for Amazon, so they know they can just suspend people left and right, if more people let the customer take it up with Amazon to get their money then they might not be so quick to suspend people.

cardfelon 06-08-2010 10:48 PM

I always follow through with shipping items when I have a account go down. People bought the item in good faith and you will get your money. Amazon is only a 90 day hold versus the dreaded 180 day hold with Paypal.

MrMondo 06-11-2010 02:57 PM

I agree that you should ship. You'll still get your money, even if you have to wait for it, and I can't believe that not doing so could cause enough irritation for Amazon to notice.

jbluntz 06-11-2010 03:46 PM

I usually ship but by the time I get suspended my account balance is always zero, since I withdraw regularly, If they file a claim complaining about it being a bootleg or something that's what I normally wouldn't refund if suspended.

Ship those Items!!!!!!!!!! It is thinking like that that got you in that mess in the First Place!!!

teedon 06-19-2010 08:59 PM

Every body need to play the game following the rule!!If we can sort it out and then everything will be go better as you know,it is none of buyer business, they paid to the item they bought,so you need to take the responiblity to send it to them.

Amazon doesn't give a sh*t about you, it will not sway their decision one way or the other if you decide "**** Amazon, I'm not sending the items to the buyers". I can guarantee you that Amazon is not going to be more lienient on sellers if more sellers just ignore buyers as soon as they're banned. They have a brand to protect and that is EXACTLY what they're doing.

They Banned me, I hate that they did that, but I love Amazon. Energy should be spent on trying to get back on.

The buyers had nothing to do with it, just send their merchandise.

Agreed.. Ship items!!!! I recently got banned now during the christmas rush.. Made 7,800 a week before I got banned in just 2weeks and 6400 the werek before that. Now they are holding some funds.. I just spend 460 to ship and still have about 300+ more dollars to spend on shipping.. As much as I hate to spend it.. Its the right thing to do.. As those are the same customers that provided me with income for the past 8months. Positive vides through the universe!! Hoping I can find a way to get a new on started and run smoothly as this one did.

** ALSO, I got suspended because of Late shipement due to me having to take my 6yr old son to the ER and him having emergency surgery. So that took a few days!! Causing buyer to leave BAD feedback asking where items were!! Everyone but 2 removed it so I dont know. Havent appeal yet but still receiving a some positive feedback.. Should I maybe wait til some more items have been received before I appeal?

sacka_man 12-19-2012 07:22 PM

I am on board with the crew that thinks you should ship the items. Aside from contributing to the reasons why Amazon would make it harder for people like us to create ghost accounts, not shipping the items is also stealing, assuming you already got paid. I advocate making lots of money but I also advocate doing the right thing and shipping the items to the people that traded their hard earned money for them. They probably weren't very expensive, so just consider it part of the cost of doing good business.

Yeah, Christmas on Amazon is a double edged sword.... you'll make tons of loot but unless you can handle the order processing load, chances are you'll get banned after New Years.

Found this out the hard way last year so once December rolled around this year I scaled back my available inventory and its been smooth sailing. Not as profitable but I wont have to deal with the problems of being suspended.

I hope that doesn't happen to me. I've mostly been able to handle my order processing load, but I have 1 item in particular that I accidentally sold that I didn't have in inventory, and I already "shipped" it (printed out the shipping label) so I've ordered it and have been waiting to get it myself so I can ship it to the buyer. No idea why I didn't just drop ship it. I hope my buyer doesn't get pissed that it will arrive after Christmas and I hope my account will be okay.

Who cares... the premise is still valid today.

DoubleA 12-19-2012 07:56 PM

If they are phakes do not ship you have lost the item and the account and potential of losing the money.

I guess the real question is can you afford them holding your money for 90 days?

Selling phake items is not a real business plan.

This has been answered many times and helps no one. A bit pointless unless you are just commenting to get your post count up.
