amazon doesnt look that good to me?

hi

keep being told of the fortune to be made on amazon

however

they seem like a terrible company to deal with the way your money is held etc whilst your expected to send the items still

the layout doesnt seem as user friendly as ebay

when I did a search for items to sell theres pages of results

you cant list your own items which puts me on a downer straight away

any thoughts

It really depends on what you sell. Not everything sells well on Amazon, but when you have something that does, I find that you get higher prices than on ebay. Ebay is better if you want to add your own pictures and descriptions though. Also, I don't know what the big deal about the hold is. Yes, it sucks, but paypal does the same thing. I believe paypal holds your money longer than Amazon, right? Personally, I've used both sites and I make more money on Amazon and they don't screw with me nearly as much as Ebay/Paypal does. That's big. I still worry about having my money frozen for no reason, but Amazon does it less...and when they do freeze it's only for 90 days.

I agree with StillersFan. I would add, though, that there is a big difference in buyer mentality between the two sites. Amazon buyers are more inclined to want quality, while eBay buyers focus mainly on price. On Amazon, if you have good quality products, you don't necessarily have to have the cheapest price. You have to be COMPETITIVE, but their buyers take feedback into consideration.

On eBay, price is king.

sometimes ,amazon is more stickly then ebay. For same product, the possibility to be removed of list on amazon is bigger than list on ebay, for some meaning, ebay is flood with many items,so the price is very cheaper.

I found one guy doing and hes not exactly what Id call a big seller

but another post says you have to sell loads first??
