- got blocked. (Amazon)

Seems like I outpserformed the velocity meter and I got an automatic block =(

Bogus excuse of OEM stuff....

unfortuantemistake 07-20-2010 05:18 PM

Its not bogus if you were indeed selling counterfiet or oem software.

nobody999 07-20-2010 06:32 PM

i don't understand why amazon has oem software listings/description but they will suspend you if you sell it there...why don't they just take out that category?

aspkin 07-20-2010 06:33 PM

Is this your first account RSOT?

Because approved sellers are allowed to submit catalog pages. Therefore they keep getting posted even if Amazon Removes it from there catalog.

Just because you can list there doesn't mean you should.

Just because you can rob a bank doesn't mean you should.

If they state its against there policies, simply don't do it.

It amazes me when people gripe about getting shut down, or suspended, when they are simply ignoring the posted rules and policies. What do you expect to happen?

nobody999 07-21-2010 01:33 AM

i wasn't aware that oem items were a no no

rsot 07-21-2010 09:05 AM

Hey there Aspkin - yes my first account and no I meant their excuse was selling OEM software but I was selling DVDs - and not even counterfeit ha. Used DVD collection of mine not f ake or anything.

I think it was because of the velocity meter.

Let me find the reason and post it later I guess.

Yes OEM software is listed as against Amazons selling policies.

I find it hard to believe you were selling USED dvd's and were moving them that fast, as most dvd's can be had for under 4.00 on Amazon. Even if you sold 50 or 60 amazon wouldn't mind as the gross wouldn't be significant at all.

I would be interested to see what you were really selling.

dennisjaneway 07-21-2010 11:37 AM

i believe him, because i was also selling used dvds from Navarre.com, and i received that stupid message after 100 $?!

So its not always a question about really high volume! Its about risk for their company, and DVDs are high risk as we know!

DogFacedBoy 07-23-2010 10:41 AM

Are we talking new or used DVDs?
I don't think I would ever want to put DVDs on there as new even if they were.

BTW velocity meter? What is the volume to stay under to keep off the radar?

rsot 07-23-2010 12:01 PM

Seems to be under $700 for first few months.

DogFacedBoy 07-23-2010 12:31 PM

So I've got an account that is several years old. Never sold too much on it. At its height was maybe running through $500/month (but not 12 months out of the year)
How much would I be safe to run through now?

I am using the profits from sales to buy new stock so it would be a while before I would be approaching much more than $700, but I would like to be able to amp it up as things get going
