Possible to make a living using Amazon?

I been reading these forums, stealth book, everything for a while now.. And now I'm thinking about actually selling on Amazon.. I was going to sell on eBay but I hear paypal is a pain in the @#&. -.-

I was thinking.. Is it possible to make a living with amazon? At the moment I just moved out of my Parent's house and I have a part time job and go to school. At my Part time job I get about 13-20 hours a week @ minimal wage. I can't pay to eat and live that that... I mean I can but I'm tired of it..

If I started at Amazon would it be possible to make at least 1.5k/month?

With a few accounts, and done the right way. Search the forums for Amazon, there are extra steps you have to take as they are more advanced than eBay.

Anything is possible. Just have to try. From a new account, it'll take a couple months of increasing your volume and build up to 1.5k a month.

dennisjaneway 08-08-2010 07:39 PM

a lot means for me:

8 Accounts

in detail:

100 $ x 8 Accounts per Week

or 300 $ x 8 Accounts means 2400 $ per Month

It is possible to make over $1500 per month, all you need to do is search for good products to sell. Consider your products need to have little shipping cost because many buyers don't like to pay high shipping fee and your product can let you make more than 70% profit after paying all the amazon fees.

catdaddy 09-10-2010 06:19 PM

Can you? Yes. Will you? That depends on your abilities and your luck. Plenty of people (me) make their living off of amazon.

JEM 09-10-2010 06:50 PM

yes,I was making 1-2k / mth, you do need the right products though, and it takes a while till you build the right momentum

But, after you start selling near 1k /mth , amazon will review your account, to make sure all is ok, so it had better be , otherwise you will get suspended/restricted or any other crap

but if I had the choice I would rather sell amazon, its easier

I am a powerseller on eBay and I always made more money on Amazon. For the 3 years that I sold on Amazon, I consistently had 6 figures in sales after Amazon fees and shipping fees.

I did not sell any high end items, electronics, or software. I sold books and toys. Occasionally, I would sell dvds.

Right now my retail websites and eBay are in a slump; so I need to get back on Amazon.

Here We Go Again 09-11-2010 10:55 PM

I crossed the 6 figure mark at the end of August.
I crossed the 10K for Sept a few days ago.
This is just my AMAZON sales.

So YES you can make a living from Amazon.

On eBay I am a Power Seller and have been for over a year and a half on the same Stealth Account.
That account is also a Top Rated Seller Account.

You can make a nice living if you take your time and learn the rules of the game.
The rules are in a constant mode of flux so you have to stay on top of the game in order to keep playing.

Thank you. It does take a lot of work.

The best way to find profitable products is to do lots of research.
I will study a product style for weeks before I buy any to re-sell.
When I do buy some to re-sell start off with a small quantity.
This way you are only out a few hundred instead of a few thousand if your research turns bad.
