Hello my name goes here,

Thank you for your interest in selling this item. The top-selling ASINs in Software are restricted to pre-approved sellers. At the present time we are not adding any additional sellers for these ASINs.

Thank you,

So they did not block or suspend your account? Did you try to list or just inquire.

It seems like amazon doesn't accept new seller for selling under this category.

Amazon clamped down on software a while ago. They started getting real strict last year.

You CAN sell sotware on Amazon, but some products are blocked, as you have found out. Amazon does not want to be like eBay - known for counterfeit goods. So, where a software title has caused them a problem, they restrict it to pre-approved sellers only.

I don't know which titles are restricted, but you can probably sell stuff like Family Tree Maker Deluxe, or perhaps PrintShop Gold. But Photoshop, Rosetta Stone, Microsoft, etc. are very likely to be restricted.

This is only going to get worse, with more and more titles being blocked. Same thing will probably happen with some DVD titles, especially the box sets.

If your plan is to buy on DHgate and sell on Amazon, you may want to check to see if the items can be sold first.

I believe microsoft products are restricted. I have tried to sell on one on there. Manage to get one sale after they sent me a message about restrictions. Not to sure about Adobe products on there.
