Amazon is f up. Now if a buyer buys a factory sealed item and says it does not work(dvd) why should I refund them?Any retail store does not refund only exchanges for same title.Then when it is returned it is now a used item and the value is gone down. They want to watch it and then want a refund.

Your distributor should exchange the bad copy for a fresh one at no cost. I have dealt with Ingram, Baker & Taylor and Navarre, and they will all do this. Just ask your sales rep.

Amazon will not be changing the way they do business anytime soon. Amazon is all about customer service. If you want to sell on Amazon, you have to accpet returns. Luckily most people will not try to "rent" a movie by buying and returning it to you. That is an awful lot of trouble to go through when you can rent a movie from RedBox for $1.

Move on and cut your losses; its the only thing to do!

At least you aren't selling high $$$ items like me, I got burned like this before.

Agreed. When you can download for free, the only reason to buy dvds is because you want to keep them. Sometimes factory sealed items are defective. Cut the loss for the positive feedback. Its worth it.

On my second Amazon account a guy left me feedback (my first and only feedback so far) elated that the atari game I sent him actually worked. Apparently he bought the exact one from Ebay and it didn't work, both were factory sealed. News to me.

If you tell me or send a link on how to take a picture of the computer screen, you can read the feedback yourself. I can upload it to photobucket and post the link here (minus my name of course) it does happen

I am going to cut my loss and note the buyers info for future scamming.Just that my items are all original bought from big store chains. and Never ever had an issue even with my personal dvd's. So the person is a scammer.

With all this in mind, is there a block buyer function on Amazon? Only alternative right now is to cancel order and refund if you do not want to do the transaction.

Sorry you are going thru this, I went thru it on Ebay. Got two neutrals because of it which are lies that I sell worn items, it's the reason I ended up here on this website. Learned what he was up to with is multiple accounts etc...

Eventually I ended up making conversation with the "buyers" whom were all Him. He was a disgruntled customer who tried to screw me over but I told him off instead. Then the problem "customers" started arriving. Next time I will just give the refund but he was as rude and arrogant as they come.

His MOA was so similar that by the second netural I knew it was him. HIs third Identity had just paid me so I told him my hubby just started working for EBAY, and is commuting to and from work (2 hrs away). He can mapquest our location to know this is plausible. In fact one of my neighbors works there, he commutes. Anyhow I Never heard from him or his sockpuppets again.
Keep them talking them give them reasons not to hound you.

All his identities bought the same kind of "pins" on Ebay so it was obvious they were the same guy. He must have a business using these pins somehow.

OH and I had a Postal Employee give me one of those air bubbles that you put in packing. Told the scumbucket I thought the US postal service was doing an investigation on me and my buyers for Insurance Fraud so if the item shows up appearing to be opened, then please let me know

The bubble plastic had the US Postal Services name on it when it arrived. This time he didn't ask for a refund....

Fear is what keep people in line, but what happens if Amazon was to read your email?

these guys are right. u have to roll with it. Sometimes a buyer will totally screw you. It has happened to me. but not much at all. U have there address you can always send an anonymous go Fuk ur self letter.

But it not worth the bad feedback, that will shut your acct down.

Just chalk up bad buyers (scammers) as a business expense.

Brick and mortar stores have shoplifting or damaged merchandise. We occasionally get scammers.

Jtct2010 - i agree. It does happen.. everyone has losses at some point. I think it's better to appease the person and save your acct. so never mind the letter. lol
