Can amazon link you through Stamps.com?

I have several amazon accounts and was wondering if anyone has used Stamps.com through your amazon account. I would really like it as it is possible to pay for shipping through your amazon payments account and not through my own pocket (as I do with my independent Stamps.com account).

What is the procedure for linking your stamps.com account to amazon? I can get away with one account, but for my others I'm a bit tentative. Any comments would appreciated.

I do not know if they link through stamps.com but what I can tell you is I use other 3rd party sites to manage my inventory for amazon and haven't been linked.

I would imagine that if you are actually linking stamps.com to your Amazon accounts, then, YES, they could potentially see that the login info is the same. But they cannot link by tracking numbers.

The following is the structure of a Tracking Number:

420 90210 9101 1480 0860 0040 2644 66

Here is what those numbers mean:

420 = Routing application idenifier
90210 = 5 Digit ZIP Code
91 = Tracking application identifier
01 = Service Type Code
148008600 = MAILER ID CODE
04026446 = Sequential Package ID
6 = Check Digit

In this case, the mailer ID code is for Endicia.com. So everyone using Endicia will have these numbers displayed. I'm sure that Endicia has records, but I doubt they would open them to Amazon.

I also use Stamps.com

Your Amazon account has to be a Pro Merchant Account in order for the Stamps.com system to work with Amazon.
So that is $39.99 per account.

But the few times that I have linked my Stamps account to a Amazon Pro Merchant account the Amazon account has died within 24 hours.
Not sure if it died due to Stamps.com or to the fact that I blew the Velocity Limits from Amazon.

interesting as i would love to be able to pay for my shipping out of my payments account and no my pocket as well.

The problem would arise if you sent a return shipping label to a customer and you forgot to change the email that it was being set from. If you send it from an old banned email then you might get linked. Amazon will send a message to you saying that they did not recognize the email and that it is not registered with your account. I made that mistake and we shall see if the account gets linked.
