Default Anyone have an Amazon Webstore account?

http://webstore.amazon.com/

I'm composing this thread in regards to personal experience of anyone using Amazon Webstore. I will be using it on a stealth account. I REALLY like all the advanced features plus not having to acquire a merchant account (as I can't due to bad...no terrible credit) and automated posting to Google search.

My concern is amazon does ask for info such as name (no problem on stealth) along with company name and whatnot. I'm wondering how thorough their search is looking your company up. Sure, I can easily get a new corporation but is their a way for them to look up who owns the business? Any suggestions anyone?

Is this the first stealth amazon you created? Because if your going to sell on amazon and have a webstore I'd imagine you plan on having this stealth account open for a lot of months? So you should probably start selling really really slow if you plan on lasting so long with a stealth account. As for how they look the business up I have no idea.

With any Amazon payment services, you will not have the rights of a real merchant account. You leave it up to Amazon to "fight" chargebacks or handle A to Z claims. Look forward to a lot of fraud, depending on what you're selling.

I don't have a webstore, but in dealing with Amazon I can tell you that you should get delivery confirmation on EVERYTHING you ship and require a signature if the item is worth more than $150.

No, it won't necessarily save you from a chargeback, but it DOES help with reviews. And it gives you a fighting chance to win an "item not received" dispute. With Amazon, if a buyer files under "item not received" and you don't at least have a tracking number, they will almost definitely side with the buyer. AND it will count against you.

I agree with jeffweico. Coincidentally, I also use a signature on anything above $125 or so, and delivery confirmation on anything below that.
