Never ending frustration of Amazon feedback

I recently spent the better part of a day sending emails to all of my buys of the last three months asking for feedback. The carefully composed letter including simple instructions on how to leave feedback, which takes maybe a minute. After a few days I got responses from barely 5%, including two who simply responded in a return email that they were happy with the transaction. Hopefully more will straggle in - I've found that an awful lot of people who shop on Amazon don't seem to read their emails; it's also possible that a lot of messages sent through the Amazon system get caught by spam filters.

Just venting.

Amazon messages do get caught by spam filters. I have a yahoo account on my buyers account and emails from sellers constantly get put in the junk mail.

You are right that they dont seem to check email or they just dont care seeing that they got their item. I usually do a mass email once a week and only get about 2-3 feedback.

So my from POV if you miss getting feedback from a buyer once they receive their item thats pretty much it for that feedback.

It's not that they don't read it its just that they don't care since theres no incentive. I'm taking a marketing class currently, and did you know if an email doesn't capture the interest of the viewer within 1 second then you can kiss that email deleted, crazy some of the things you learn about consumers point of thinking.

Hand written "Thank You' notes in girly colors, using a girls handwriting and a girls name. Keep it simple and sweet.

It can't be just us who is aware of the difficulty getting feedback. Could Amazon be aware of this situation, and just do nothing to help our situation. Since we are technically an Amazon franchise, could'nt they do a little more to promote our good service, and products. Like if you buy a Subway, or McDonalsd franchise, you make money for the corporation therfor, they promote the crap out of the brand, and Amazon could do this for our feedback. Only helps their bottom line.

Amazon has done nothing to improve their system for over 7 years. I was a seller for almost 10. In that time, no seller improvements at all. Just more metrics, more demands, more crud. They are uninterested in making life easier for sellers despite the fact that the Marketplace is a huge source of revenues and is cheap, easy profit for Amazon.
