AMAZON Buyers are lazy

Tired of email these PR!CK Buyers for feedback!! It is really pissing me OFF!!!!
But they know how to leave a negative one really quick!!!!
AAAHHHGGGGG!!!!

I hear you. I decided to track a month's worth of orders on one of my accounts. 30 orders total. 24 shipped the SAME DAY. 6 shipped the following day. All shipped within 24 hours.

I looked for any feedback after 60 days. I used order numbers to look these up to make sure I was looking at the right feedbacks.

So, how many did I get after 60 days?

TWO!

Both 5 stars, but Amazon wants at least 6 positives out of 30 orders. But their buyers do not understand that feedback is important. They don't view Amazon the same way as they do eBay. And that is a definitely a good thing for Amazon. I just wish Amazon would realize this and not expect a 20% positive feedback rate.

yeah, i feel that we should automatically get a postive feedback after 60 days if there are no issues with the buyers....but that's never going to happen.

rsot 12-21-2010 03:35 PM

Wish that would happen indeed.

It's not really the buyers' fault - I almost never leave feedback for online purchases unless someone has gone out of their way. Let's face it, why should I care? It's not the buyer's fault that we rely so heavily on feedback - it's Amazon's fault for placing goals that don't coincide with the way buyers behave.

I leave feedback for other sellers! As long as it arrives in the condition and in the delivery time! I would like all the buyers to start to sell and not receive feedback they would be pissing and moaning !!!

Thats pretty much how most buyers feel. They bought, you sent. Done. What needs to be rated? If your customer service needs to come into play and you stand out, they rate that

I was looking over lots of my buyers feedback on eBay [Same principal] and most of them have received 5x the feedback they have left. They cant be bothered. I got 4% feedback on Amazon and less then 20% on eBay. Nobody but eBay and Amazon gives a rats ass about feedback.

ovidiu 12-21-2010 08:14 PM

I always leave fair feedback for my sellers. I do admit that I am slower to do it on Amazon, though. A printed sheet, included with every order, that outlines customer service procedures and asks for feedback, is absolutely mandatory. I have noticed that unless they are having a problem with their order, many Amazon buyers simply ignore communication from sellers.

I started sending along a thank you card with a personal message inside, and instructions on how to leave feedback. My feedback went up 50%. Get this, since i did this, one "run and gun" account just made it out of review, and they released mucho $$$$$$$ that I was able to disburse! I almost dropped dead when I got the email.

Do you leave a note on the order slip nicely requesting feedback?? just curious...I know this is typical

I'm not saying notes are bad, I use them too. But it sickens me sometimes we have to beg for feedback. I hate feedback period. Its stupid. And them putting your financial future on it is dumber

Do they really think its needed to weed out bad sellers? I get burned I file a chargeback. Enough chargebacks and bad seller is gone. Me giving him 2 stars is a waste of my time. I buy, I pay, they ship, I get. Why does any of that need to be rated? The concept is silly.

ovidiu 12-21-2010 10:18 PM

Good point. If they (Amazon) thinks it's so important to get feedback, why not force the buyers to do it?

I'm going to start offering 10% off on future orders to buyers who leave positive feedback, let you guys know if it works.

Agreed, it's the one thing I hate about Amazon, they always want you to grovel. Agreed it's not needed. the Sellers there are better than Ebay by far. Not as much corruption

Also the buyers are more affluent, they know they are paying more and don't have time nor want to be bothered leaving feedback. Amazon says they are for customer service but instead they bug us to bug the Customers, then they bug the customers again with that feedback request email they send. Two customers told me they received two of them! I won't buy from Amazon because of it

Since I just passed my review, no notes will be included with my stuff for a long time

ovidiu 12-21-2010 10:32 PM

Amazon loves groveling, both to Seller Performance and to buyers. I had to do a lot of it over the years. In fact, most of my communication to Amazon or to buyers consisted of some level of groveling. And I agree, do NOT buy anything from Amazon if you have been booted. There are competitive prices on the same stuff elsewhere.

yes that would be good to know. Maybe you can include 10% off coupons with your package slips.
To activate it just go to blah blah blah amazon feedback address and leave 5 stars :brushteeth:
