'Blocked unless FBA' !!
 

Just logged into my Amazon.com account to check my inventory and saw this message on some items that I was posting from UK

Why is this listing blocked?
We have blocked your non-FBA toy listings and they will not be buyable until the second week of January 2011. We do this to maintain buyer confidence in Amazon during the holiday season. You can still sell by converting them to Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) by clicking the “Unblock with FBA” link.

All these items were in the toy category.

It seems as though Amazon is using similar tactics as Ebay over the festive period.

The strange thing is that I listed these a while ago and have already sold some over xmas!

Wow. They truly have their head up their collective a$$es over there.

Amazon has, for years, restricted the TOY category during the holiday season.
This is nothing new.

It's annoying because my items weren't toys, but I placed them under listings which were for some reason. Going to sign up for a pro account, they are worth every penny :)

I think they dislike it when you miscategorize listings, especially if the fee is lower for the category you listed under :FF:

Well the person who has created the listings did this, and there was no other options. I mean would you call a novelty usb hub a toy? hehe

Sellers must keep certain numbers up in customer metrics to be able to continue selling in Toys & Games (until Jan 10th).
