Amazon Canada/ Canada Bank Account?
 

I am looking to open an Amazon account in Canada. Does anyone have any idea if it is possible to open a Canadian Bank Account from the States? I am a Canadian, but do not wish to return to the Great White. Any info would be appreciated.....thank you...

You need to go to Canada and open an account there in person, at least the last time I looked into it. But there's not much of a market on Amazon.ca anyway, probably not worth it.

Amazon.ca blows. So as noted I can not see why you even want to. Only Canadians see the ads. Not like ebay where you can offer it to other countries

I never got a single sale on Amazon.ca, despite the same stuff selling like hotcakes in the states. And I had listings up for over a month.

For sure, .ca is useless. I really don't understand why they don't do it like ebay with cross boarder shipping and show .ca listings to US buyers

HSBC, BMO, TD, RBC, Tangerine, and probably the other big ones too all allow you to open an account over the phone after sending the required documentation, you could also open a CAD currency account at many of the US banks, but Amazon.ca does not require a Canadian bank account, you can get paid in your US one too.

"Note: Sellers must have a Canadian or U.S. bank account to sell on the Amazon.ca"

@xiu, nice update - you can actually open the accounts online once you have access to one account and enable it for online seeing :)
