Changing the name on Amazon account...
 

Has anyone changed the name on their AMZ account and will that get you blocked/banned? I have an old account that is doing well but it is in a family members name. They want me to stop using this account because they are planning to get retirement funds soon and they can not make too much money outside of the retirement money or their money will get cut and/or they might get audited. I can possibly change only the first name on the account and and then in a month or so change the bank info. What do you think?

It would definitely be a red flag. Commonly, females MAY change their last name when they get married, but changing a first name, or a man changing his last name would look suspicious.

And PLEASE understand that I do not intend any sexism here.

Either way you have to try something and if their retirement is at stake shut her down (sexism?) :) but seriously if they dont want you using their name just stop things can and will be traced back...

I have said many times do not do not do not use others info for your accounts never ends pretty!!!!

Do not change the name. I think even the last name (as in marriage) would be tricky. I think many suspensions are done by computer and don't even have a human involved. Don't risk it.

I am already shutting it down. I have another amazon account up and running but it takes a while for it to get good standing so it will not pay my bills yet. I was just asking but already knowing the answer. :( Thanks for the replies.
