Adding A New Bank Account to An Existing Amazon Account
 

So after following the procedure of changing ip address and everything else I managed to get an account up and running under a friend for about a year now. She's now saying she can't have the deposits in her bank account anymore. I'm thinking about opening another bank account under my name at the same bank I've had accounts suspended under. Good idea or not? Will amazon see the bank account change as strange? Somebody reassure me that all will be well. Also I've been using the debit card from the checking account as the credit card. Just thought I'd mention that. I haven't heard anybody else mention that as an option when doing the stealth thing.

It could work, but If I were you I'd at least open an account at another bank, but It's up to you. I can't reassure you that all will be well, but my Amazon account has been up and running for 3 years, and during the first year i changed the bank account 2-3 times without any problems, the only thing was that they'd hold my funds for an extra 14 days during each change.

I got my dads account suspended a while back by logging in from his house and then that account got suspended. :clap:

So...

I passed off one of my stealth accounts to him and he added a new checking with no problems.

If you want to be extra cautious then open one at a different bank but if it were me I wouldnt bother. A different number should be good enough for Amazon.

People change bank accounts for all kinds of reasons, even within the same bank.

I had an account where I lost the ATM card. They insisted on closing the entire account and issued me a new one. It happens.

Ok I'm feeling better about it now. I'll open one up at a different bank just to be safe. Thanks folks.

I forgot to mention, I also plan on taking her name off the Amazon account and putting a made up one. Will changing the bank account and taking her name off and adding a males name look strange?

Bank account would not be seen as strange since people change banks all the time. Changing the name is dangerous - don't. Pop in the new bank account and go about your business.

New Credit card Needed
 

So all has been well since February, but now Amazon wants a new credit because the last card was a debit linked to the old bank account. I guess they attempted to charge the fees too it and discovered it was closed. Of the prepaid credit cards out there can anyone let me know which are still good in this situation. I need a card that I can add a friends name and address to.

If you get stuck I believe you can use your banks credit card but ensure the address is the same as your friends. Others here can verify. If you've already received a credit card, you can just change the address. Often it is easier that way as you can open it with your real address then later a Teller can usually change it without requiring an explanation.
Ensure you do online banking so they don't accidently send her your friend your bank statements

I did this but didn't plan on them sending a Welcome to the bank card to the address I had on file. All was fine but it's something to think about. Good luck =}

A new credit card won't affect the account normally - speak to a seller here if needed.

Ok so I decided on a VCC and purchased one. I'm not sure if and how I need to add funds to it if I'm only using it for verification purposes on Amazon. Do I need to add funds to it in this situation? If so, how? Also how do I add the address info to it, or does it not matter?
