Multiple Accounts = no review?

I have been able to find the answers to most of my questions on this site by just searching for them, but this one I just need some clarification on.

If I create multiple ghost amazon accounts, and keep the money made on each under 750, will i be able to avoid having my account reviewed? If not permanently then perhaps significantly longer then if i were to make more?

Thanks for your help

Never 100% evasion of account review but yes - spreading helps to keep low on amount $ earned radar.

Thebigspud 03-29-2011 02:27 PM

Ok thanks so much for your quick reply.

Also wondering if their will always be account reviews for reaching velocity limit, or do the only happen for the first few months?

jeffweico 03-29-2011 02:35 PM

I suppose, IN THEORY, that you will not trigger a velocity review if you grow slowly and accumulate positive feedback. But i my experience, all accounts eventually get the 30 day review.

My personal thought is that it is better to get the review over with. That will not make you review-proof, but it helps.

So say if i exceed the $750 velocity limit and pass the review wont i have to pass the review again if i exceed $750 again during the next 28 days?

Jeff makes a solid point as usual

reviews can happen anytime, for any reason.
some ppl get hit at $400, others at $3000

reviews are a good thing!

Thebigspud 03-29-2011 04:47 PM

Ok thanks but do they ever stop or are they just gona be a part of my life now?

rsot 03-29-2011 05:14 PM

Part of the life of THAT account. Remember that - all depends on the account and what you sell.

Thebigspud 03-29-2011 05:21 PM

Alright thanks everybody for helping me clear that up.

Much appreciated

What do they "review" in this said review?
Do they verify personal information and all that as well or no?

jeffweico 03-29-2011 06:19 PM

It is not so much personal information, as what you sell and how you behave toward their customers.

The higher the risk your items are, the lower your chances of passing the review.

Also, they want you to use tracking numbers (even though they don't require it), be polite to their customers and get good feedback. Receiving a complaint during the review process won't necessarily kill you, IF YOU HANDLE IT RIGHT. And that means NOT arguing with the buyer. Cheerfully offer a refund and ALWAYS be nice, even if the buyer is being a total jerk.

Basically, they want to know that the majority of your transactions go smoothly, the ones that don't are handled appropriately, the customers are being treated right and that the goods you are selling are legitimate and DECENT QUALITY items.

There is no faster way to lose an Amazon account than by selling cheap junk, defective items or counterfeit merchandise.

The second quickest way would be treating their customers unprofessionally. If you tend to be rude and argumentative with problem customers, Amazon will shut you down quickly. They do not tolerate that - even if the buyer is swearing at you and calling your mother names. They expect professionalism. And that is not always easy.

Thanks for the info.

Any chance you can take a look at my thread in this sub forum and let me know what you think regarding my situation?

Off topic I know sorry.

schuerm26 04-12-2011 09:57 PM

Just to let you know. My review didn't happen at $750. That is what I was aiming for and to stop short of it. Mine happened right around $600.

Axcend 04-14-2011 09:24 PM

reviews also happen for item number velocity limit. I sold $300 worth and hit a review because I sold 5 items in one day, none of them for over $20. I currently run a bunch of accounts on this theory. As long as you make 150 a week or less, you will stay a good amount under the 750 review limit. Now figure that you make 100% profit, thats $75 per account per week. Then run 15 accounts a week = 1125 a week profit ^_^. This is exactly how I run my amazon accounts, because it stops the possibility of losing a bank account, as long as you just play it slow and don't get greedy. want more money? open another bank account lol

No reviews in 3 moths for me

I have multiple Amazon accounts and I managed to stay under the $750 monthly limit. Many of them are 3 months-old or over and never hit a review.

So I guess if you go slow you will not trigger up a nasty review.

I have over 30+ feedback on older accounts and eventually will increase to $1000 or so but not get greedy and my babies will be ready for Xmas season.

Cheers.
