New to Amazon

I have just successfully opened a seller account on Amazon but have not listed anything yet. I have read all the seller information and am confident that I can supply a good service to customers. All my stock is non vero and is ready to dispatch.

Can anybody offer any suggestions before I start in order to avoid suspensions etc.

Not much advice but to keep customers happy, decent shipping time, legit product. Be always aware that Am az on can shut you down for no serious reason.

This is your first and only Az account?

Check your messages frequently, it is located in the top right corner.
Especially if you get an order that is sent to someone else, they frequently will
contact you to say not to include the invoice or just out of of nervousness

Check customer metrics frequently, it is where Amazon sends you messages

The message system is funny, you have to hunt for messages hidden deep in the system with all the other stuff

I am sure you'll do great :yar:

Since this is a new account you don't want to just come out the first month and sell like $5000 worth of product. Amazon wants you to build trust with them. Although feedback is very hard to obtain versus on Ebay they will want you to have about a 20% feedback ratio to your orders.

Amazon is all about the buyer experience. Be polite and professional at all times, even if the buyer is a total jerk.

98% of my buyers are fine, even when a problem comes up. The other 2% will push every last one of your buttons. Just be polite and professional and resist the temptation to tell them what you really think about them. It is not easy sometimes, but it works.

On Amazon a good, legitimate product + good customer service = $ucce$$.

Yes its my first and only Amazon account. I opened it in my own name but after reading so many horror stories am going to tread very carefully indeed.

Thanks for all the advice about messages etc. I will start very slowly and build it up slowly.

Good stuff - your first and fresh account. Lot of wise posts by experience people - good advice.

Ironically my situation mirrors Cassies. Taking it one step at a time.
