| Giardino | 07-02-2011 03:41 AM | 24 Hour Disbursement Question How long after a sale is made will the button to request a disbursement appear in your finance tab? I ask because I received ordered earlier today, shipped them, and the money is still listed as "available" but there is no button for "disbursement" or "request disbursement".
My account is over 14 days old (more like more than 3 months old) lol.
Any help would be appreciated. |
| Gamefreak | 07-02-2011 07:05 AM | You can only request disbursement once in 24 hours. |
| Axcend | 07-02-2011 08:46 AM | if you disbursed within the last 24 hours it won't let you disburse, either requesting or from your scheduled disbursement. |

Unless youre saying that I can only request a disbursement after 24 hours have passed after the sale? |
| Axcend | 07-02-2011 12:37 PM | is the money showing up as available for disbursement? It has to be confirmed shipped before you are able to access the money |
| Vadim | 07-02-2011 12:48 PM | A ton of people dont know this apparently but depending on the account you have, you might only be able to do 14day automatic disbursements.
I had a thread before on what kind of account to open up so you can do 24hr disbursement. Anybody? Ive had 2 accounts and both got the 14day automatic, yes I know how to check if the funds are available and I know it must be confirmed etc. |
| Axcend | 07-02-2011 01:16 PM | I've never ever upon 15+ accounts not been able to disperse every 24 hours, and only 3 of them have been pro merchants, the rest were all normal basic accounts. It tracking numbers don't confirm the money won't be available. Also if they are doing a 7 day hold after something sells, then that might be the problem. But they will notify you if they are holding funds |
| expiredpeanutbutter | 07-02-2011 01:20 PM | wait so on paypal can you get the money to your bank in 24hrs or does it take 3-5 days like it does for me? |
| Axcend | 07-02-2011 01:36 PM | this is for amazon. And you can request money every 24 hours, it takes 3-4 days for it to deposit. Mine is 4 days on the mark 7 days a week. |
| Giardino | 07-02-2011 01:43 PM | I shipped all of the items via first class mail (not sure if thats even confirm-able like priority is) and when I did, I put the "tracking number" into amazon even though you cannot track it while its en route. Do they have to scan it in at the post office for it to be verified? |
| Axcend | 07-02-2011 02:05 PM | how did you buy your postage? Did you get delivery confirmation for the packages? You can track any USPS shipment by adding delivery confirmation to them, it costs a little extra but is practically required for amazon. If you made up a tracking number, then that is why your money isn't showing up. Amazon automatically checks tracking numbers once you enter them to make sure an item shipped before they release the money to you. |
| Giardino | 07-02-2011 02:13 PM | It said the tracking number was confirmed =/ and I was shipping "Large envelopes" (bubble mailers) with encidia (dazzle) and it said that in order to get delivery confirmation on first class packages you had to be sending a parcel (a box), and since I wasnt, I couldnt get it =[
Edit: was looking at some of the options for what you can choose for shipping.
Would bubble mailers fit under the "Package (non-rectangular)" category? if so I could use Delivery confirm then.
Edit2: Just voided 2 shipments and reprinted them as first-class "non-rectangular" packages with delivery confirmation. Gonna ride up to the USPS place and see if they accept it now
Edit 3: Oh and Even after I changed the tracking numbers on the two packages to the delivery confirm there still isnt a "disperse" button for those funds in my finance page. Gonna see if it appears after they scan it in at the USPS store. |
| Giardino | 07-02-2011 03:08 PM | Welp, nevermind. Just got this email from Amazon: Quote:

Well how do I change my account to allow for manual disbursements? There has to be a way to do this without forcing me to sign up for a brand new account...
|
After doing some research, apparently since I REGISTERED way back when as a professional seller, I get paid every 2 weeks no matter what, even if I downgrade to individual. Sellers who register as individuals can do manual disbursement, however.
Good thing I have amazon ghost... |
| Vadim | 07-03-2011 01:26 AM | Yes exactly, I plan on opening up an individual account as well. Have that + my actual legit account and thats usually good.
Let me know how that all works out, regarding the individual account. Im not sure how exactly to make the individual account. |
| Gamefreak | 07-03-2011 01:46 AM | If your going to be doing steady business on an amazon account registering as a pro seller is a BAD IDEA!
More than 10k disbursement is likely to happen which means IRS. |
| Vadim | 07-03-2011 12:14 PM | Everyone should be paying their taxes anyways. Just do everything the right way and you wont have any problem. Its very easy to open a legitimate Amazon account. You dont have to provide anybodys name, you can use business information. Just get a po box, open a dba and your good to go. Going on 3-4 months now with about 4-6k disbursements every 2 weeks. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:47 AM. | |
