Amazon Tax....Keep Account or Go New?
Within a years time on one amazon account I will have anywhere from 80-100k+. They want an EIN by Dec. 26th. Here is my question/concern. Would it be smarter to call it quits after the holidays and NOT enter EIN, and start with a new account so I dont have to pay taxes, or just provide the EIN. I would be extremely pissed if I provide the EIN and pay the taxes and then a month or two later my account gets suspended for whatever reason. I have 98% feedback with extremely minimal customer issues, but knowing amazon your account is never 100% safe from suspension. I dont sell f@kes or anything, so that is not an issue, I just dont want to drop 20k on taxes when i dont need to, especially if i get booted a few months later and would have had to create a new account anyways. Another issue I have is someone above said you need to provide residence proof in the questionnaire with filing Tax Number. Does this mean if I enter my EIN, I will also have enter REAL address, so they can send the tax information? Because I have a feeling if I enter my real address it would get link...which means I would need another UPS Box? Aghhh..
