Invalid Credit Card on Amazon
Okay.. I have a new stealth account and I have been selling... For this one I used a Visa Vanilla Gift Card.
Didn't take long for Amazon to slap me with a rolling reserve, fine, whatever.
They released part of it today, so I added a clean bank account, and requested my funds.
Tonight I got this email from payments-declined@amazon.com Quote:
Hello from Amazon.com,
Your most recent disbursement of USD 2,010.55 has been delayed. We took this action because the credit card information registered to your seller account is invalid. Note that this information may be invalid because the card has expired or the billing address that is associated to it may have changed.
Your credit card helps to authenticate you for payment of your sales proceeds into your bank account. Your credit card may also be used to charge you for any outstanding Amazon fees.
After you have updated your seller account with a valid credit (or debit) card associated with one of the major credit card companies (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or Diner's Club), you can manually request a disbursement of your funds to your bank account, or they will be disbursed in the next scheduled disbursement cycle.
To update the credit card information on your seller account:
1. Log in to your Seller Account.
2. Click the "Seller Account Information" link under the Settings heading.
3. Click the "Edit" button in the Charge Method box and enter your current credit card information. Be sure to enter all information exactly as it appears on your card.
4. Click "Submit" to save your changes.
To request a disbursement of your funds after updating your credit card, log in to your Seller Account, click the "View your payments account" link and then click the "Request Disbursement" button. Note that if you do not see the "Request Disbursement" button, you may have requested a disbursement less than 24 hours earlier. Please wait 24 hours and try again.
Thank you for selling on Amazon.com.
Regards,
Amazon Services
| What the hell is going on? What should I do? Has this ever happened to anyone else? This one is a first for me.
