Heard few folx saying wells fargo having problems accepting deposits in diff names but wait for other folx to chime in to confirm/refute my phrase.

I also have heard that wells fargo sometimes refuses deposits in different names. But.... they have been accepting my deposits for 6 months now. So far no problems for me :thumb:

Thank you both. I will update my finding in few days

I asked Wells Fargo today. They said they would not accept a deposit to a personal account from a business name. I replied and asked about a different persons name and am waiting thier reply. Will let you know.

I am using a wellsfargo account now on my possibly soon to be banned account . The amazon account is in my name but the wellsfargo bank acount i use for daily transfers is under my mothers account.

used wells fargo before, it works but they sometimes ask questions

Wells Fargo has been hit and miss for me ... I prefer Chase much better, but that's just me

Kelly441 01-11-2013 10:47 AM

Wells Fargo replied and said the name must match. Of course this is what they say but it may still work.

You asked them? Maybe you should message their Security Dept as well and tell them what's going on? Unreal.:nono: I looked back and you were talking about Wells Fargo a year ago and you have to call them? Why not try them and see?

Kelly441 01-12-2013 09:53 AM

I was looking into it about a year ago when my account was suspended. However, my appeal went through so I didn't have to worry about it until now. I don't see anything wrong with being upfront with them, not doing anything illegal.

SO FOR mismatched name,
Chase > Wellsfargo? this is the verdict??

what about One West Bank, anyone know about this ??

TonyAlmeida 03-11-2013 11:20 AM

You should not ask them this question. You are raise a flag for everyone

I was trying to get permission from them to use another name, gave them some BS story of why. If they said it was OK I would never have to worry about it.

MM78 03-11-2013 02:07 PM

A bank will NEVER give you permission!

The way you could of gone about it is this...

"Hi, My employer would like to pay me with Paypal with direct deposits to my bank account, would this be ok?"

Honestly, never ask a bank...many banks have been listed on the forum that work.

I don't mean any offense when I say this, but was it really necessary to actually ask?

Well OF COURSE that is what they (and every other bank) is going to say this ...

I have used Wells Fargo before under a stealth name and it always worked fine (although now I no longer use them, I use Chase now)

I'm just saying, you may have raised a red flag now for others using stealth to sell on Amazon in the future!
