Default Newbie needs help...

New wireless router. New laptop. Read the AZ Ghost pdf. Want to get it right the first time, so...

1. Do I need to clean the other laptops that will be latched onto the same wireless network?

2. Can I get by with a bank account that is in my kid's name (but of course ultimately tied to my name - as he is a minor)?

3. Plan is to go back with FBA - wouldn't be happy necessarily if they close the account, assuming I could lose some money and get the stuff back (like I did when my "real" AZ account was suspended. Not too many people seem to think FBA is a good idea. Is there something more that I am missing - except for potentially losing inventory? (I am only going to send in low-ranked stuff that won't leave much of a tail.)

Welcome to the forums.

1. Clean yes - same network is not a good idea since you will ALL have the same IP.

2. Sure - as long as not used before and will accept deposits in diff names.

3. That is the BIG issue of losing inventory...lot depends on what you are selling...knockoffs? or...?

All the best.

Selling real products (but high risk - DVD's).

Have a new address (an actual new location too), laptop, wireless router, and want to know if having an account in my kid's name (which will be attached to my wife's name - which was the credit card on the suspended AZ acct) will raise alarms?

Thanks to all for your help!

@Nozama, should be safe - I would change the last name slightly to avoid potential last name linkage.

The most important thing is never give up.Amazon can be very, very frustrating.

I would wait until after the holidays to open new account. They are out for your blood now.

RSOT answered "yes", but I believe RSOT thought Nozama meant laptops that are being used for AMZ. My question (and I think Nozama's question) is:

Do you have to clean a computer that's on the network but won't be used for AMZ at all? What about if that computer surfs AMZ but does not log in?

P.S. I did buy AMZ Ghost but it isn't showing up in my profile. I am so stealth that I ghosted the ghosters. Do I win a medal, or at least a cookie?

Somehow I lost my link to my downloaded copy of Amazon Ghost. So, I can't read it or reference it. I can search the HD for the file if I knew what the filename was.... any help?

No - if that computer is NOT being used 100% at all with AZ, I would not worry. Browsing is fine too - just NO logging in.
