Today is the 26th!

How many of you are suspended for non ssn/tin/ein verification submission.

Gamefreak 12-26-2011 03:30 PM

One of mine is still up. I suspect the mass suspension will happen at 11:59PM

thedickbib 12-26-2011 04:17 PM

I used the vacation setting and made my seller account inactive on the 24th (figured I wouldn't sell much on the 24h and 25th anyways). Going to leave it that way until 2011 is over. Hoping to escape suspension and at least get to sell the allotted 50 items on this particular account in 2012.

So far, so good but 11:59 pm will be probably be the true test.

thedickbib 12-26-2011 04:19 PM

Gamefreak, you said one of your accounts is still up does that mean you lost some other ones today?

kris3841 12-26-2011 05:35 PM

All mine are still up and running.....i was thinking at they would
be shutdown by now....Dec 26th was the deadline....I guess they
meant the 27th?

Shadow2010 12-26-2011 06:44 PM

Mine is still up and running selling a few things today... maybe 27th?

Lilcrew 12-26-2011 07:53 PM

Does every seller have to give SSN or just people who sell over a X amount ?

thedickbib 12-26-2011 09:19 PM

thanks for clearing that up gamefreak

9:18 pm and my account hasn't been suspended yet... crossing my fingers!

Isn't it 200?

JohnsonCarter 12-26-2011 10:14 PM

My account got suspended back in July, they keep sending me emails saying I will be suspended if I don't submit the info. Do I even have to bother reporting it, or should I just say F it?

kris3841 12-27-2011 03:21 AM

Well it's the 27th (PST time too) and accounts are still going...
what about you guys?

Gamefreak 12-27-2011 03:59 AM

Account is still up

ovidiu 12-27-2011 05:44 AM

Still up.

To "JohnsonCarter", don't worry about it. What are they going to report, if they don't have your info? It's quite typical for Amazon to send emails years after they suspend your account.

supposed to be 200 and gross sales of 20K to get a 1099-K form issued.

Amazon is being unfriendly and requiring your tax ID after 50 transactions.

thedickbib 12-27-2011 08:59 AM

No suspension email from amazon. Are you guys still getting the banner asking for the tax information on the seller main page?

I'm still going to leave my seller account on the inactive setting until after the new year. I'm hoping there will be some sort of reset done and worst case I'll be able to sell 50 more items before I have to open another stealth account.

FandangoKango 12-27-2011 09:04 AM

Where do yall get these dates!!!

It was on every seller's page for months...

KingDog 12-27-2011 10:00 AM

Still up...LOL

So this whole thing was a big scare?

Axcend 12-27-2011 11:06 AM

yeah both my 2 accounts are running. And I confirmed an item as shipped 5 minutes ago.

I believe that Amazon didn't realize how stupid they are and when they saw that 2+ million accounts didn't supply their tax info, they didn't want to take a big financial hit.

Artann 12-27-2011 11:15 AM

OR it is only 8:15 am in San Fran and AZ employees were probably all drinking yesterday but today they are back to work and we will feel their all mighty hand pressing the "flash it" button today :pop2:

Recherché 12-27-2011 11:16 AM

Yep, all six of mine are still going. None have EIN/SSN attached. Have gotten quite a few sales as of this morning. I'll just ride it out until I get around to supplying EIN.

Airun 12-27-2011 12:35 PM

I'm waiting to hear about disbursements. Amazon willl let you sell. Will they let you disburse? Thats the true test.

DHB123 12-27-2011 01:12 PM

this is very strange. Not what I expected. I am wondering why the hammer hasn't dropped on people...

oge 12-27-2011 01:18 PM

I'm thinking they will let people close out the year and was just warning...... accounts are probably flagged and just dont know it yet I'm just taking a wild guess

That's what I think too. Afraid to ship anything though as I don't want to wait 3 months for my money.

kris3841 12-27-2011 03:36 PM

All accounts are going good... I did two big disbursements yesterday with no problems, crossing my fingers they make it into my bank accounts as I don't want to wait 90 days. I am thinking Amazon saw how many people didn't provide their info and then calculated how much they would lose and are giving a bigger window now... I wouldn't be surprised if they up it to 200/20000 as well. Let's hope!

If they really wanted to make a stink about it, all the government would have to do is ask Amazon for the bank account info that was attached to the account, and presto, John Doe becomes a real person. Thats only if they really wanted to find out who you were. Theres really no 100% stealth. Somewhere, some how, there is a tiny paper trail that will work its way back to you.

Iwuvcurrency 12-27-2011 07:34 PM

One of my pps were closed...What is the 26st anyways?? Is this a day when they mess with everyones accounts?! They told me my pp was limited because I sold 18 of one item that is high risk..(only 5 this weekend) MAybe that was my reason..Now im debating to ship the items and wait the 45 days to withdraw it..hmmm...

Iwuvcurrency 12-27-2011 08:22 PM

Actually x2..Another got sus too..EBAY account.. on the 26st :(

KingDog 12-27-2011 09:01 PM

Can someone call and find out?

I was ready to dump an account, but if they aren't going to block it, I might as well keep it.

ovidiu 12-27-2011 09:14 PM

True, but we are talking about whether Amazon would want to "report" you, not the government. That's a whole different can of worms.

rsot 12-27-2011 09:17 PM

Derail - 26th...boxing day specials? Anyone got anything good? Ha =P

Artann 12-27-2011 09:41 PM

Az is really sneaky... they are gonna wait for all the orders to be fulfilled and than SLAP... or if you won't fulfill them by the scheduled date they are gonna tap you on your shoulder and SLAP:smash:

newjerseymax 12-28-2011 12:07 AM

They will "ladder" the suspensions...

Axcend 12-29-2011 10:50 PM

Guy's, I've been fulfilling orders with no problems. I believe that they aren't going to suspend until you actually hit the required limit. I'm nowhere near 20,000 in sales in a year, although I have sold over 100 items.

ovidiu 12-29-2011 10:57 PM

Hopefully. I had to do 100 almost worthless orders just to be qualified to sell in software, so it would be a real PITA! In other words, I have a ton invested in my account and hopefully I can start the EIN/LLC process in January.
