IP address question

Currently accessing a "Free" wifi hot spot so unable to request that my ISP change my IP address.
Have used Macshift to try and change Mac Address to no avail. Keep getting the same IP Address.
So, question is, use what?
Have read that OpenVPN will not work, proxy server will not work.
Any way around this other than having to buy a 3G dongle and paying $50-$60 a month for airtime?

Let's start again.

You would have a problem changing anything to do with the the park's system.

What has happened that you have this concern? Has an amazon account been suspended?

Details were lacking in your first post.

Like all others on this forum, she got booted from Amazon. Linked accounts and such. Banned "FOR LIFE" as they say.
She tends to buy on Ebay (has a great rating there) and sells on Amazon. She undercut another seller who then ordered from her and provided a bogus ship to address and left negative feedback.

She then closed that seller account and opened another one (I wish I knew of this forum b4 she did that) Things went well for about 5 months and then she undercut the same seller. Within an hour, the crap started.
We were able to document that it was the same seller that was complaining but to no avail.

She (we) of course were oblivious to some of Amazons policies (multiple seller accounts, etc.) I mean who really reads that stuff when you are such a small seller. I doubt that she ever went over $300 in sales in one month.

This story I know.

Sadly I know we have to read the small print of our nemisis or get stung.

Not answering your concerns though.

Had a quick look at your location...

Double check A&T data plans. I appreciate funds might be at a premium. But there could be a plan that would be OK given the amount of time being used by MrsGrumpy.

A smaller plan might give her enough access to be able to use for amazon. Her ebay could continue to be used off the free wifi.

Another option is dial up

NoneOther 01-01-2012 10:12 PM

Dial up is not an option as there are no land lines available here. Had an AT&T AirCard that we used whenever the parks WiFi went down or if we were on the road on a short trip to visit relatives. AT&T card contract is over but is still available for use on their "Buy a Session" plan (http:/www.att.com/buyasession)
I am understanding that from what you are saying is that might work. My concern is that she has logged on to Amazon previously using that same AirCard. Would that be a flag to Amazon? Should I get another AirCard? Perhaps go with Verizon instead?

Would deffo need a new Air card. Verizon is doable depending on the quality of the signal
