Turning off Router and back to modem?
Okay so I've never had a router by it self. Right now I got a router/modem put together in one box. However, I can't change my Mac address with it so I want to add a netgear router to it to change my mac address/ip through the new netgear router.
However, can I then unplug my router and plug my ethernet back into my cabel modem to just use my cable modem connection because I think that will be a lot faster to stream videos download stuff ect ect.
So basically is it possible to disconnect your router at will and go back to your modem just for the speed increase? |
