Buyer claims he didnt recieve item

I sold item to a buyer at over 100 pounds it was software how ever i did not send it recorded delivery i kept my receipt for postage with his postcode on it and his location . i told him it was posted what would happen if he file a claim with amazon would he get his money back even if i have receipt for posting it my mistake not sending it out recorded delivery

Always send with signature confirmation.

I sell software, and often it can seem safer than selling other things, since you'd think dishonest people would just download it anyway instead of paying, right? WRONG. I use tracking on EVERYTHING, and certified mail/signature required on anything over $150. Keeps the buyers honest when they get the package and see "USPS Tracking Number" in big letters across the label :)
