28 Day / $750 Velocity Limit

Hi guys. I just have a question about the 28 day / $750 velocity limit. When does this "28 day period" reset itself? Is it from the day you made your acc? e.g. the 17th of every month, or is it after 4 disbursement periods? Is it the first of every month. Any help is greatly appreciated.

does anyone have an answer to my question? you can always PM me if you don't feel like writing over here for whatever reason

Don't quote me but it should be 28 days from your first sale........

mitzuoka 02-20-2012 04:02 PM

but when does it reset itself?

robsut 02-20-2012 04:09 PM

Hi, it does not reset, it rolls over all the time, when you reach day 28 the day after is also day 28, the only way to increase the amount you can sell over the 28day cycle is to get pos feedbacks

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I'm not looking to sell over the $750 limit. I just want to know how to arrange my account where i stop selling when i reach around $650 and when I can start selling without going through the review process. you get what I mean?

28 days

It resets itself on day 28th but to be safe you should wait for day 31. Do not expect Amazon to email you a reminder.

IF you want to sell $700 in seven days and have 21 days off on your first month; you will get suspended.

Spread the sales and do not even get close to $700 in the first month.

Good luck,

I actually disbursed $600 after my initial 3 week period and now i have a rolling reserve amount of $678. I'm looking to avoid a seller review on my other stealth accounts but I don't know when the 28 day period is up. From what day does it start? When does it end? After you've waited the initial 3 week period for new sellers, when does the time limit reset itself?

"It resets itself on day 28th but to be safe you should wait for day 31. Do not expect Amazon to email you a reminder."

Suppose I opened an account September 1, disbursed $600 on September 22nd with my last sale on September 10. On what day of October, or even november, would the 28day period reset itself?

I think the whole 21 day payments is a joke. You will never get all your money with a rolling reserve. Know does anyone know at what point they take you out of the rolling reserve or is it indefinate..

slapped 02-28-2012 01:38 AM

a LOT of sellers think that the reserve is a Joke,,Amazon just wants to make sure that there are not too many bandits running around their site,,They make a decision on your rolling reserve after they review you,,,

I counted the days wrong (I was off by two days) on one account before I relisted so now this account is under review. If I refund my orders will they drop the review?

Also, does refunded orders count towards the limit?

BigCJ 05-21-2012 06:24 PM

Just so you know, too many refunds will shut you down fast...

they will not drop the review. You will either pass or fail it. By refunding, you will almost instantly fail. :shhh:

Damn, I guess I can kiss this account good bye... I refunded three customers and there is one order left... I'm not going to touch it and see what happens. It has been five days since the review e-mail and nothing from amazon since then. This account just like another one a while back got reviewed after it hit $600 something so I try to keep each account around $600 a month, but I miscounted the days on this account... damn!

Does refunded orders count towards the limit though? I'm wondering about that and I can't find the answer anywhere.

From what you have Posted here it seems to me that Passing Amazons Review Process is NOT your problem,,,Your Product is,,,You refunded 3 out of Four Sales???,,,are you Kidding???,,You could'nt Pass Attilla the Hun's Review process let alone Amazons,,,,

JohnPublic 05-21-2012 11:53 PM

It was just three $50 items. The other one is $400. I was thinking less customers would be viewed as less liability/risk in amazons eyes and possibly would help me pass the review on this account. All the items are real though... not vero. I haven't had any complaints.

BigCJ 05-22-2012 10:49 AM

You have to think like this with amazon; They are looking for ABSOLUTE PERFECTION in a seller.

Too many refunds, youre gone.
Feedback is a an absolute necessity.

Ill give you a little secret in what I do with amazon.
You have to think that you are only allowed 1 negative feedback per 100 feedbacks. This is NOT per 100 SALES mind you. you can sell thousands of items and still not have 100 feedbacks. And since amazon is not ebay, the standards of business is set even higher, thus that helps me to maintain that standard with that figure in mine.

Good one Slapped - funny and yet SO relevant and truthful.

MrA 05-28-2012 12:16 AM

Dang, I've sold hundreds of items and have only had a few refunds(only a couple were my fault).

3 out of 4 are returns...this is why Amazon is so strict.
