Crazy idea but maybe you should change to something else, you have gone through 8 accounts so far and you might be going through more at that rate.

It's hard to move to something else once you have gotten use to your certain merchandise but unfortunately we have to move to new things.

VeRO only applies to eBay. It is eBay's terminology.

Do Amazon have their version of this VeRO ?

veRo is not specific to ebay..

Amazon rarely publicize their VeRo policy.

First many a seller finds out about the policy is when they get suspended for breaching selling requiremetnts

Content Guidelines
Items sold on Amazon.co.uk must follow our content policy and guidelines, detailed below. Producers or sellers of items are expected to conduct proper research to ensure that the items created to be sold on Amazon.co.uk are in compliance with all local, state, national, and international laws. If Amazon.co.uk determines that the content of an item is prohibited, we may summarily remove or alter it without returning any fees the listing has incurred. Amazon.co.uk reserves the right to make judgements about whether or not content is appropriate

then a seller needs to go thro' whatever category to determine what will be OK

the term VERO might have been coined by ebay but i think we all know what it refers to,

copyright infringment of anykind is being jumped on right now as the closure of MegaUpload and other high profile sharing sites has proven, The majority of the heat seems to be coming from the Movie and TV industry which is why selling dvd's is becoming harder.

VERO lets rights owners file takedown requests on eBay. Amazon uses its own employees to remove listings that may be in infringing. In a way, it's better than eBay, and also worse, because items may be removed on mere suspicion, with no recourse.

The craziest thing about ebay and vero is that they can take down legitimate dvds as well as counterfeits. I found this out when I was selling a set I had got from walmart. The item was removed for vero before anyone had a chance to bid on it. Come to find out that certain studios(through vero) can have ANYTHING they produce removed.

You can sell DVD's as long as you have legit documents and take right steps... This is with any vero product though..

With Amazon, they do not ask for documents like eBay does. If they suspect your DVD's are counterfeits, whether or not that is the case, they will simply close your account. It makes no difference if your merchandise is legitimate.

A new account, especially, cannot be opened one day and start selling DVD's the next day. At least not box sets, Disney's, New Releases or any POPULAR titles.

With eBay, they MAY ask you for documents to prove your merchandise is legitimate. If you can do so, that will satisfy them. BUT - it will not save you from the VERO members. If they request that eBay remove a listing, eBay will remove it. The only way around it that I know of, is to ask the VERO member for permission to sell their items. Some will give it to you and others won't.

It is not fair, of course, but it is reality. Plenty of people selling perfectly legitimate DVD's have had their accounts closed on the mere SUSPICION of possibly selling counterfeits.

I have found that as long as you Stay FAR away from titles that are found on DHGate, Aliexpress, Made in china, Alibaba and sites like that,,you can sell them,,,Lets face it EVERYONE Knows about the Type of DVD's those sites deal with,,,I Know a LOT of People think that these sites are "Secret Sources",,,But the truth is EVERYONE Knows about them,,Including Amazon and Ebay

Default dvds are worthless

High Shipping suck I always had to open and reshrink wrap to check quality. Find cheaper products with cheaper postage and higher returns! Honestly there is alot of work if you sell dvds. Not unless you have an account where you can sell the crap out of them and not have to worry about bad fb here and there.
Also, having to deal with the lame overseas sellers, and customs ssuck! Dont get me wrong alot of DVDs get by customs, but they are still high risk.

Honestly, slapped is right, it is not hard to sell dvds as long as you're not getting them from those sites. I always sell dvds without any problems at all, but these aren't your everyday titles.

When I used to sell them, they sold very well. But, there is just too much competition- and the other negatives I listed earlier -

I don't have any problems selling dvd's on amazon. But, then again, I stick to about a dozen titles that make me money over and over again. I think customs gives me more problems than amazon. Not much, but and now and then a shipment gets...let's say lost.
