| Thankful | 03-31-2012 08:18 AM | High amount of pending orders on Amazon recently anyone else got it too? Amazon - So this week i've got 9 pending orders i've never had more than 2 pending orders, some have been up for 5-6 days now and still pending, i find it very strange, anyone else getting alot of pending orders recently? or is it just me being paranoid....
Very unfair they leave the items in limbo like that just floating - when i could be hitting more sales - i'm worried most of them wouldn't get paid for, really annoys me
Just don't want to get messed about because 7 out of the 9 items ain't exactly cheap items all rather expensive stuff.

| HunterStudios | 03-31-2012 11:40 AM | Recently Ive had the same thing happen. I sold around 7 items and 6 of them are still pending after 4 days. Been selling on ama zon for about 2 years now and I've never had this happen. |
| Thankful | 03-31-2012 11:47 AM | I wonder if it's Amazon trying something new or if it's just a coincidence were buyers are using e-cheques to clear payments...
:spy: |
| meVebay | 03-31-2012 02:34 PM | Amazon don't accept eCheques!
They aren't using PayPal! |
| ovidiu | 03-31-2012 05:41 PM | Just bad luck. Problem with payment on buyer's end. Nothing to do with you guys. I've had one of these go for three weeks once. And when I finally got the order, Amazon conveniently marked it as late, too, as if it was my fault that they held it back for all that time. Go figure. |
| justarslan | 03-31-2012 07:01 PM | Sometimes they do small review of your account without letting you know if account is new and you start suddenly getting too many orders. It cleared next day in my case. |
| crafty1 | 03-31-2012 07:44 PM | The pending order is to do with the buyer. If a buyer places an item in their shopping basket and leaves it there for a while I think it will show as pending on your sellers account.
In some cases it might be Amazon trying to verify the buyers account. |
So let me get this straight, Someone orders from you, they don't pay yet but then it's pending so you can't process the order. Then AZ gets pissy at you the seller because it's pending?
Sounds like you gotta jump through hoops on AZ. |
| crafty1 | 04-01-2012 04:43 AM | Yes, I think that's the way it works
For example a customer wants your item and there is only one left, they will put it in their basket but they don't have to pay straight away as they might be waiting to get paid or other issues. So AMZ gives the buyer a week or 2 to make payment.
I fell foul of this the first time when it was pending for a week and just sold my last item, The buyer then paid for the goods and as I had sold it didn't have it in stock so had to refund the buyer. |
| crafty1 | 04-01-2012 04:45 AM | I haven't had issues with AMZ getting pissy over pending orders.
As long as you ship your items within the stated times, you should be OK |

Problem with payment on buyer's end.
Yes - and don't ship when it says pending...don't. |
| crafty1 | 04-01-2012 09:06 AM | You won't be able to ship when its pending as it won't reveal the buyers shipping address. |
And this is why I rather do Ebay's BIN, I really hate anything that prevents you from getting your Ca$h. I guess it's the price to play with the big dogs. |
| davecolt55 | 04-04-2012 03:16 AM | amazon do not reserve the item if the buyer simply adds it to his/her basket, the item can still be bought by somebody else if the buyer has not completed payment by adding credit card details. The problem with pending orders occurs if there is a problem with the address verification on the card or if amazon is reviewing the account in which case all pending orders will be cancelled if they decide to suspend you or all pending orders will go through if they decide that they're gonna let you sell for a bit longer:) |
| AmazonStealth | 04-04-2012 03:44 AM | Pending order can be that case for multiple reasons....
1. They credit card transaction hasnt processed yet.
2. The credit card has been denied.
3. High volume of sales in the amazon world may lead to a backup.
4. Wrong information filled out by the buyer.
5. Other technical errors. |
| sellervice | 04-21-2012 07:18 AM | I have the similar situation. The orders first of all under pending situstion then after a while probably half an hour, the pending orders will transfer to orders one by one.
But some of the pending orders will disappear after one or two days, I don't know whether it was operated by Amazon or customer selves. |
| Thankful | 04-21-2012 08:11 AM | Sellervice I opened this thread - most of my orders which were pending didn't not get paid - it's the buyers fault.
If the pending order disappears usually means the payment failed to go through for any reason (bank, expired card, no funds and so on...) |
| ovidiu | 04-22-2012 03:50 PM | You'd think Amazon would give someone, say, 48 hours to update their CC info before item goes back to marketplace. But no! Let it sit in someone's checkout cart for three weeks, Amazon doesn't care about the seller losing sales to other potential buyers. And they they hit you with a late shipment slap too due to their own fault. |
| Gamefreak | 04-22-2012 03:54 PM | I have a buyer who SWEARS that he paid for the item but when he gives me the order ID I look it up and BAM pneding for like 2 weeks and he demands I ship! I told him hes crazy and he needs to talk to amazon |
| ovidiu | 04-22-2012 04:17 PM | Problem is, most buyers assume we have a lot more control over the selling process then we really do, and "talk to Amazon" isn't an excuse they accept. Sucks! |
| degsey69 | 04-22-2012 08:38 PM | I had 22 pending orders on Friday with 73 orders to ship, once I cleared the orders to ship it seems like amazon released the pending or it could all be coincidence.
What I do know is that they like to play cat and mouse games to try and catch you out and I have a legitimate account. |

Agreed. They are frigging watching every little thing we do. Don't ever assume you can pull one over them; at best, you'll get a warning. At worst, you'll end up booted and maybe lose your money too! | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:43 AM. | |
