Question regarding checking account for payment

Happy Thursday, everyone. Okay, so I created a stealth Amazon account. I registered my Mastercard with no problems. I also have a sale. Nothing major--25.00.

Now, I need to add my checking account. I understand that I can use any name and to preferably use the stealth name. HOWEVER, I am recently divorced, so I am back to my maiden name, which I've never used for any accounts. I also opened a new checking account at my bank. So, the name and account numbers are different.

Specifically, I would like to know if I can use my "new" name in the checking account holder name field when adding my account, or do I risk exposure/suspension if I don't specifically use the stealth name? My concern is that my bank may refuse deposits from Amazon if the names do not match. Can amazon "see" what is in the name field for the checking account holder name?

You should use the name that the account is registered under. Your bank should accept deposits without problem - which bank you using?

ditto @ rsot.

Amazon Checking Account name registration

Great. Thank you. I am using Tyndall Federal Credit Union. I live in a really small (very rural) town. I've deposited check belonging to other people in person and through the atm, along with check made out to businesses (belonging to friends needing the cash right way) without any problems. Of course, in a small town one's face become familiar quickly so things are very lax. However, system driven activities over longer distances could be a different thing altogether.

Okay, then, I will use the name registered to the Amazon acct.

Everyone is really nice here. Thanks for helping me.

BTW, I think that a lot of banning is simply attached to a company's lack of resolution processing. It's just more time and cost effective to simply suspend accounts then to try to try to investigate and resolve every single infraction. There is obviously a formula to determine the level of risk or violation. Unfortunately, some truly innocent violators (gotta love that oxymoron) get caught up in all of that.

I simply was pushing back too hard in dealing with a buyer. By doing that, it drew things out too long; so when a buyer had a legitimate issue (which could have been easily resolved-and was) it was just too much for my account to sustain, and out I went. We live to learn, so I'm trying it again thanks to your site.
