Amazon Reserver - Holding Funds for over 30 days

Hello,

Like many on here, I was recently suspended by Amazon and I am trying to start a new account.

I recently signed up for my new Amazon account on April 5th. Between April 5th and April 26th I made 3 small sales totaling $11.94. On April 26th and May 3rd, I got a "failed disbursment" message.

I put in two cases, one was ignored, and one said they would get back to me when they figured out what was going on.

I called seller support and they told me that between April 5 and April 26th a 21 day hold was put in my account and that I will be able to disburse on May 10th. Apparantly, Apr 26th and May 3rd was still considered to be in the reserve period. Did anyone else have to wait 35 days to disburse or have they put me under some kind of review that I do not know about?

I previously sold apple software, but my new account is just selling books. I am trying to keep a low profile for about three months before I start selling software again.

Welcome to the forums - all the best as you read around. AZ is a nightmare. The review is pretty standard - is your account open?

Hi, Thanks, yes the account is still open. I assume they are doing a review without telling me they are doing one?

The review only benefits them by making interest on your money. They are not watching your account 24/7. I have one account in review.so I let it sit and wait to see if the executioner drops by any day...:smash:

I hear you

I hope Amazon gets some of what they have been dishing out, but in the meantime, they are the only place where I can get sales. Ebay is average at best, but I get much better profits on amazon for software and for books I get no action on half except for those low balling instant sales.

The system does whatever it wants, when it wants, to whom it wants.

Do they read your amazon mail?

I recently sent a refund via personal check to a customer. I hope they do not read my mail and find out that I didn't use their stupid system which could get me in trouble for not being 100% perfect.

You sent a personal check?!? Careful - hope your buyer is not a pro and knows the loops.

Its 21 day rolling hold from each sale then is dispersed every 7 days, sell on the 1st get on the 22nd sell on the 2nd get on the 29th your next dispersement day sell on the 8th get on the 29th

Disbursed

yes, I hope the buyer doens't know the loops. I gave him $25 for something that cost $18 and told him to keep the book.

They finally disbursed a little of the money today. I am going to wait awhile for this refund situation to clear before I put up software again. Its a shame my last account got removed, I had 100% feedback on it. I was sabotaged by competitors who would kept reporting me for very minor violations like -- DVD only ,etc.

Imagine, IF 100 OR MORE SELLERS WILL FILE COMPLAINT TO ATTORNEY GENERAL IN YOUR STATE AND AGENCIES REGULATING MONEY BUSINESS SERVICES, AMAZON WILL HAVE TO CHANGE .
WE WANT FAIR AND JUST TREATMENT!!
Encourage other sellers to do the same, and Amazons licence will be at risk of being suspended or even BETTER revoked!
As money business service provider Amazon violates not only the any state's money transmitter laws but also its own agreement.
WE NEED TO FIGHT BACK against Amazons abusive business practices.

Amazon believes they have the right to hold onto sellers funds for up to 90 days and beyond and release them as they see fit. How is that legal?
