New Info on Formating Hard Drives

Is there any new info out there in regards to simply formatting a hard drive from a banned account and then using it to create a new account? This seems to be one of those bits of misinformation that I just need straightened out by someone who has been there done that.

Details: Everything in the computer remains the same. Same hardware, same OS version (win7 64x), same sata3 solid state hard drive (but a newly installed OS). However, I will be using a different version of my browser and will only resume old browsing habits via an alternate operating system to avoid any possible conflicts.

I'm sure this has been answered before, but on my search I didn't find very recent information with these specifics. Any help on the matter is sooo much appreciated as I'm looking to do this today and cannot use my new internet connection until this is taken care of. Thanks!

oops.. extra details: New cable modem, new router. I moved 2 weeks ago so absolutely everything is new except for my 2 main computers which were both used on my old banned account. I want to make sure not to taint my new place with my old comps :-)

You will still get associated as the MAC address of the lan cards will get recognized and you will get taken down.

really? new ethernet cards instead of just changing the MAC? Can anyone point me in the direction of a good tutorial and/or program for altering my MAC addresses for good? Thanks
