Amazon Suspended...Appeal

Well, I've now fallen foul to an Amazon suspension. This was a legit account, selling legit items.

Nothing was wrong with it at all, but they say I need to give them an 'action plan' to resolve the following issues when they reviewed my account:

As stated in our policies, sellers must list the exact same item, in the same format, as the item represented on the detail page. Please note this includes brand, manufacturer, UPC, edition, binding, quantity, packaging, colour, etc.

Before we can consider reinstatement of your selling privileges, please provide us with a detailed account of the steps you will take to ensure your listings comply with our policies. We will then review your plan and determine whether to reinstate your privileges.

I am so confused, I don't know what they are on about and what I need to do. Obviously I've replied to get further info, but they take forever to reply, so just wondering if anyone on here might have a clue.

I sell items that I make myself, so there is no ISBN number, UPC, edition etc etc. I've been selling on there for about 8 months and now they decide something is wrong with the listings?!

So your account is in review - still able to sell?

soopadudette 08-21-2012 01:51 PM

No, I can't sell. They removed 'selling privileges' and I can appeal with an action plan to resolve whatever those issues are?!

something similar happened to me as well today...a legit account that I have had for almost 2 years. It was due to too high order defect rate. But i have been getting some crazy customers, I had a negative for a pair of doll sock being poorly packed. How in the heck do you poorly pack doll socks???
Anyway I got like 20 positive feedback in one day and 2 neutral....and instead of my percentage going up it went down 1%. The way they do their feedback system is crazy. I answered right away and appealed. I kinda panicked thinking now I should have taken some time to respond and plan but....too late now. Now I am just sitting and waiting for them to get back to me.
It sucks that legit sales and accounts with real names and everything have to go through things like this! It discourages honesty in my opinion ...seriously lol

AZ is crazy - true. You need to draft a letter and hope for the best - not much else to do. Welcome to the club :mad2:

Hope for the best. They have a very difficult platform to sell on. Even if you are legit, they close accounts. It's sick.

Unlike ebay neutrals are actually negatives on amazon and it takes 201 positive to offset 1 negative.

Well Im still waiting in the notice that I received about them receiving my appeal and to expect to hear back from them within such and such time. Ya its been 4 times thats long....still waiting. Since I appealed though my percentage went up 4%
I have been busting butt trying to get feedback
Any opinions? The longer they wait to respond is...
Better, Bad, Worse lol?

Yeah I've got no issue kissing ass and writing a plan.....I just don't know what on!! I have no idea what they deem as 'wrong' with my listings.

Well my Amazon seller account went into review Dec. 1st week and then on Jan. 7 I got the email saying that my selling privileges are suspended -- I sent the appeal and its been over 48 hours now... What should I do, is it worth it to email again? Usually they reply quickly within about 24 hours if they are definitely going to ban you. But now I am starting to get very nervous since its been past the 48 hr deadline...

The same thing happened to me last month. They sent me the account review BS on Dec. 17 and I appealed on Dec. 18 with a plan of action which I have no idea what that is about. They sent an email stating that they would review and reply within 24 to 48 hours but they didnt. They replied almost a week later on Dec. 24 and suspended my account without any legit reason. Here is a copy of the email they sent:

"Dec 24, 2012 (3 weeks ago)
Hello from Amazon.

We removed your selling privileges because your account failed our review process. Due to the proprietary nature of our business, we do not provide detailed information about this process.

After a review of your account by an account specialist, we have decided not to reinstate your selling privileges.

We regret we are unable to provide further information on this situation. Further correspondence regarding the closure of your selling account may not be answered.

The closure of this account is a permanent action. Any subsequent accounts that are opened will be closed as well.

Regards,

Seller Performance Team

I still dont know why they suspended me and they will not even answer any of my emails or questions even when I called and they wont even tell me why I was suspended. I had no negative feedback. My stats were as good as can be for the past 3 years and to top it off they are still holding $2300 of my money for 90 days....

Something that has really helped me out with writing out my selling steps plan to get reinstated is always ask for help on the Amazon forums. Sellers on there have been just as helpful as sellers on here. My legit account has been running strong for the past three years, I have gone through two suspensions and numerous seller reviews. After you write out your steps/review, post it on the forums and ask sellers for tips on improving it.
