Final Review for Amazon

Here is everything I did, please review and let me know if this list looks complete

1 Different Name (Girlfriends)
2. Different Address (UPS Store Box)
3. Different phone (Google voice Forwarding)
4. HSBC Bank account (My Other Bank account, never used with Amazon, will put my girlfriends name, but my account number)
5. Her credit card (Changed her mailing address WITH THE CARD to the UPS store address)
6. New Laptop (Should avoid cookie/Mac address for the Computer)
7. Changed Router Mac, which changed IP As Well.

Does this list look complete and effective.

A few concerns

Google Voice - Is this safe or should I just use a cell phone number? I've already signed up in her name with the GVoice number but have not created a sellers account. Should I change it or just let it be. Would changing it now raise red flags

Modem - Does anyone know for sure if they can see the modem MAC address if its ran through a router. From what I've read you can't but I hate to slip up when getting another router is so simple.

I've got a few books to list to start slow selling low-risk items. However, I'm sitting on a good 10,000 DVDs, Video Games, etc that I was selling under my old account. My inventory is ever changing so I can mix different items in slowly but I'm afraid I could get linked by having similar items to the other account. To the contrary, I don't want to be sitting on my current inventory for to dang long.

Thoughts?

From what i can see, this account should be fine. Google voice, ive never used.

I use sipgate or a new mobile phone number. Either doesnt matter. As long as you can type in amazons security code, it doesnt matter one bit.

As for the modem/router. That shouldnt be a problem at all.

Also the whole match your other listings thing. That wont be a problem as Amazon US is Massive!! So the chances of this happening. Very very slim.

But like you said, start off with books and other low value non vero stuff. You will be fine.

Goodluck

Sounds about right to me. Pretty thorough in my opinion.

You better get your (her) tax information in line before any of this. And if you break up and dont inform her of this, she will run into issues with the IRS, and I can guarantee she will turn you in because of the large amount of money that will be due plus fees. And if you stay together you will still need to make sure to report this on her taxes. All in all not a good idea.

Well technically they would not have to report anything unless they got to the $20,000 thresh hold and over. Otherwise there is not any forms that will be sent or issued. As long as you stay under the $20,000 mark you should be fine. However if you get close to it you still may be asked for the social security number, so have it ready just incase.

depends how much your selling really, $18 to set a phone number is not a fortune unless your only selling $100 a week,

Free is still better than $18 regardless of how much you sell :heh:

$9 a month is way to high for forwarding, you should be paying 1/3 that or less...... Time to work that Google search or search on here.

So even if you come no where near the $20,000/200 thresh hold they will still issue and send tax papers to the IRS and you?
I have had a few accounts were I probably only sold a total of a few thousand for the whole year and never added any tax id info and never received anything from them
