Google Voice not working anymore?
 

I have tried over the past week to open several seller accounts using Google Voice ... and all have FAILED the seller review process and my accounts have been getting shut down / deleted.

FYI: I am using google voice on the exact same phone that I already used before to set up a previously banned account, could that be it?

Amazon is banning all these free stuff. You need to invest in a good call forwarding service

Try Vumber, They have regular phone forwarding and also they have an Iphone App that acts like a virtual phone that can take calls to your vumber number AND you can dial out using that vumber number.

I though GV was still ok?

Keep in mind they recycle google voice numbers....

I came back to this thread because I want to take back what I said about Goigle Voice not working

I just opened up a new account using google voice and it works GREAT :thumb:

I think I just happened to have bad luck that previous time and got a "bad number" that had been used before

I noticed that unless you change the default settings, when you call a GV number it states to the caller that it is a GV account and requests the callers name and then forwards the call. Kind of a stupid default option, but just a heads up.

Stupid question... but how do you know it is a bad #, you just get shut down?? Is there a way you can find out before you try to open an account or just have to take a chance?

Also, can you use your real information when they ask under the Google voice, or should it all be stealth?? Can Amzn see it// Get it somehow??

No

Amazon can't see your real name behind the Google Voice number, so technically you could use your real name ... but I would just make one up anyway.

... and no, you have no way of knowing if a number is a "bad number" i.e. it has been used to open up an Amazon account before.

You pick a Google Voice number and it almost always turns out OK

I am so glad I saw this forum. Not that it would have been a huge cost to get a prepaid phone, but this option is a lot easier. :clap:
