Suspended on Amazon: Pending Review??
 

I have a legit business and have sold online for almost 15 years. I have never sold on Amazon, but have been a buyer for years. We sell Dream Lites Pillow Pets and decided to sell on Amazon.

We sold 175 items in about 10 days with a value of $7000.00. On 08/06/2012 I received an e-mail stating that my account was 'under review' for 'Velocity Selling' what, I sold too many items to quickly? Are you serious? Then on 08/07/2012 I received another e-mail stating my account was suspending pending the review process and they requested a bunch of info on my business, inlcuding other selling venues. I sent them everything they asked for. On 08/09/2012 they funded all my money into my bank account (even though they said it was on a reserve hold pending the review).

It has now been about two weeks and all I get from them are canned e-mail responses. I do not get it? I am not hiding from anyone, my account is totally legit, and our feedback on Amazon is 11 with all being 5 stars. My feedback on eBay is in the tens of thousands with 99.7% positive. I even e-mailed all 175 buyers requesting feedback (per Amazons request), not my fault the buyers do not leave feedback. What am I doing wrong?

If you didnt follow the amazon guideline/rules to a "T" that could have caused your account to be criticized. A new account will get reviewed to matter what, but when they looked into it further I am sure they found things they didnt like. My guess would be listing in the wrong category, as a business need to be approved to sell in certain categories.

So will the account be suspended permanetly or will they eventually allow me to sell? How long do new seller reviews normally take?

Thats just how things go sometimes. Its sad when it happens but better it be now than later when you were making some real money...

give it 28-30 days. if they boot you and all the info is legit, you'll get your money 90 days. my guess is that you'll be fine.

I am sure your account went into a review immediately, because of the high volume of sales on such a new account in such a short time. This DOES NOT mean you account is lost or suspended. It simply means that they have shut you down, while they review your account of obvious reasons. This could take a day to a week or more. There is no exact time frame to be honest, but dont be afraid to call in and check up on your account.

If what you are telling us is true, and your not hiding any information, then I personally find no reason why your account will be suspended, since the items you are selling is not phake or high risk items. If you put yourself in amazons shoes then just imagine a brand new account raking in 9k in their first week. It not necessarily the products you are selling, but more the amount you made so quickly, so they will immediately freeze your account to save their own @ss, just in case. Once you pass the first review you will not run into any issues.

If worst comes to worst you can always create a new account, and restart, but from what you told us, there is no reason to be worried. I would just be paranoid that you can sell for the time being. Good luck.
